Evolved's 'Silky G' G-Spot Vibrator

I have no regrets in buying this toy, it has provided a lot of fun for me solo and with a partner. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this vibrator specifically for g-spot stimulation, but for all-around sensory and clitoral play.

Use

As the name would suggest, Evolved's 'Silky G' is a vibrator designed specifically to stimulate the g-spot. The vibrator can be used in a multitude of ways, whether it be as an insertable toy, for clitoral stimulation, shallow anal play, or to tease other parts of the body such as the nipples.

This toy is practical to use by yourself or with a partner. I would personally suggest using this toy at home or in a discreet/private place (unless you're looking to draw attention) because when used with fresh batteries, the toy is *not* quiet.

Material / Texture

The Silky G is a very hard and very rigid toy made of plastic, with a velvety-matte finish. There is NO give to this toy; it will not bend to your anatomy. The toy has a very classy appearance, looking nicer than the typical shiny, cheap-looking toy. While the texture is visually appealing and easy to clean, it does seem to require a certain amount of natural or non-natural lubrication to use with ease. I found when using this toy that if the shaft was somewhat 'dry' upon insertion, it could be quite uncomfy for the person receiving. I would especially recommend this toy to beginners, as it is super easy to clean, there is no odor whatsoever, and it is effortless to take care of.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

I have to admit that I rarely use this toy in the way that it was intended, as a G-spot vibrator. I was excited to try the toy because of its ridges and curved tip, but I found that the vibrator didn't exactly work with my anatomy as well as I'd have liked. The toy has a 1-1/4" diameter and 4-1/4" circumference, and 6" in length, pretty typical stats for a vibrator. Being a relatively petite girl (5'2", 130lbs), for me personally I found that the rigid body was somewhat difficult to maneuver once inserted. The tip of the toy feels a bit harsh if the toy is used roughly. I would say not to purchase this vibrator if you are a first-time user, perhaps go with something a bit more flexible to start off with.

The toy is very obviously a vibrator, keep it away from prying eyes.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Silky G has three intensity settings, low-medium-high. When used with fresh batteries, the lowest setting is quite a bit more intense than most of the other toys I own. The vibrations can be felt through the entire length of the toy, a pretty even distribution. A definite pro for this toy--the vibrations stay strong even when held with a firm grip. One of the biggest cons: the location of the power button is on the top of the toy, making it very easy to change intensities or turn the toy off during play.

The toy is relatively loud compared to other vibrators I've used. I share an apartment with two others; I am certain the girl I share a wall with can here when it's in use. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of using a vibrator in the shower, but the toy seemed to perform well nonetheless.

This toy goes through batteries FAST.
    • Battery guzzler
    • Multiple settings
    • Not discreet at all

Care and Maintenance

As mentioned before, the Silky G is easy to maintain and is compatible with various types of lubrication. I've had my toy for 6 months and haven't noticed any changes in performance.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The toy ships in a sleek box that can be used for storage. Not recommended as a gift box.
    • Good for storage

Personal comments

In my experience with this toy, in comparison to other vibrators I own, the Silky G is best used as a solo toy. My partner has used this toy on me many times, and unless I instruct him carefully on how to hold the toy and what angle/orientation to aim for, I find that it ends up being more uncomfortable then pleasurable. If your partner is advanced and has been using toys for quite some time, then by all means go for it.

Great review. I have Evolved Fleur de Lis Silky G. That is made of silicone instead of the plastic. It's softer but really too flexible to be effective. It seems these are either too soft or too hard.

Thanks for the comments guys And mpfm--I seem to have this problem with the toys I own. They are *all* either too flexible or too rigid...guess I've have to keep buying more heh
