Egg-cellent Vaginal Exerciser
This is a great kegal exerciser for beginners or more advanced users. The stone has a nice amount of size and weight to it and also has the ability to have weight added to it to increase resistance. The shape is perfect to rest comfortably inside so that you can use this anywhere, around the house or around town. It is very comfortable to grip and hold during your exercises and smooth enough to slide in and out easily. I really can't find fault in this beautiful piece.

The Crystal Egg is a fantastic vaginal exerciser from Nectar Products. Its large-ish size and weight make it great for gripping and strengthening the vaginal muscles. Can be used alone by just simply slipping the egg in and going about your normal house chores or shopping or anywhere, it is completely silent and undetectable. Or, for a more intense workout, you can add weights to the storage bag and hang it from the bottom of the egg to give you a little bit of resistance, or pull. The Egg even comes with a little set of instructions and suggested exercises to do while using the weights; essentially swinging the weighted bag in different directions while gripping the Egg to hold it in. These more advanced exercises of course are less subtle and will probably want to do them in the privacy of your home.
The purpose of the kegal exercise was originally to help with controlling incontinence. In 1952, a University of Southern California gynecologist, Arnold Kegal, developed a series of exercises for patients undergoing surgery for bladder control. The happy little side effect of these exercises was that they actually made it possible for several of the patient to orgasm for the first time through intercourse. Now we've learned that these exercises not only make sex better for most people it can also help with bladder control, menstrual cramps, and increases blood flow to the pelvic region heightening sensory awareness. All sounds like great reasons to spend a little time doing them!
The product page only really states that these are made of a semiprecious stone, sadly the manufacture page wasn't that helpful either but it looks like marble that has been ground, shaped and polished into a smooth shiny egg shaped finish. There is plastic retrieval cord that doubles as the loop to attach the weighted bag to which is affixed to one end of the stone egg by a small metal ring. The stone is hypoallergenic and nonporous making it easy to clean and more acceptable to share. For cleaning the directions suggest use of alcohol, soap and water, or a grapefruit extract solution diluted in water (can be found at a health food store). I'm simple with cleaning personally I just use warm water and antibacterial soap and be sure to clean in the area that the cord connects to the egg as that is really the only problem area I've found.

Follow-up commentary

I can't say I really use this all that much, I just don't ever think to. But it is still in perfect condition, the stone is still shiny and perfect and the retrieval cord hasn't come lose at all. This is a very good, solid kegel exerciser that I'm very glad i purchased and do plan to get better about using.

The idea of hanging the weighted bag off the cord sounds like one could create a REAL workout out of this. KEGELS OF STEEL! Was that idea in the literature or did you come up with it on your own? Thanks for the review.

Thanks!! its almost pretty enough to put on display!

@Jimbo - thats actually in the little booklet that comes with it, it has diagrams of different exercise ideas to use with it, including the weighted one

I had no idea exercisers can help with period cramps?! Interesting. It's too large for my comfort to walk around in which I prefer to do it that way than lay in bed. I am interested in stone and keep hoping EF will stock a stone dildo.
