Do NOT buy this!
I wouldn't buy this product for your own health. Whatever kind of finishing was used to making this product have a "beautiful iridescent finish" does not mesh well with your nether regions. The "five distinct ridges" — totally not worth a dime.

Pros
It gets the job done.
Cons
Don't buy it, if the finish comes off while you're using it… enough said.
The Candy Ripples Vibe comes to you in a plastic container, much like other electronic devices. It was easy to open with pop-open packaging. Automatically looking the toy over, you see that the control dial is a twist top, and that in order to load the batteries, you remove the top, remove the slip of paper that is lodged inside the battery cavity (illustrating which way to insert the batteries and which type to use), and insert 2 AAA batteries.
The product image shows a black base, but the toy I received seems to have a clear control dial/base. The plastic material isn't very pleasant to the touch. The toy is sparkling pink and catching to the eye. Lengthwise, it is about six inches long and about the width of my thumb, maybe one inch. I didn't think the width was going to really do anything for me, but was surprised that the width didn't matter much when used in tandem with clitoral stimulation.
The packaging does state that this toy is waterproof (I had to search for that, it's listed on the back) and reminds you to securely tighten the battery/dial portion of the toy. There are ribbed "ripples" along the tip of vibrator, though they don't do much. In fact, I didn't even feel "the slender candy ripples."
I used the toy during masturbation in the shower, putting it through the waterproof test. While using this toy, it did seem to do what it stated in regards to being waterproof, but later, after drying it off, when I removed the base portion and checked for water leakage, there was a dampness on the inside of the dial. This having been its first use, the toy showed its worth. I don't feel this toy can be used alone and I am once again stating it might work best for clitoral stimulation or alongside partner stimulation. The vibrations do get pretty intense, which makes the toy not very quiet— quite loud, in fact.
After using Candy Ripples Vibe, I regarded it with having accomplished a job well-done, waterproof failure aside. Then I examined the toy more closely. It seemed to have lost it's "beautiful iridescent finish" while being used. I was livid. If this doesn't bother you in a toy, by all means, it's cheap and it does the job. If having pieces of who-knows-what "beautiful iridescent finish" is, rubbing off while the toy is in use horrifies you, I repeat, do not buy this product!
For someone who is very conscientious of what kinds of foods and products I eat and use with my body, this was a huge issue for me. I have included photos from before using this toy as well as one after use, showing the discoloration from where the finish has come off. I will, needless to say, not be recommending this product to anyone, and wholeheartedly and honestly warn against it.

I threw this out after my last review. I will once again state that it did its job, but the candy ripples vibe did not leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling. I am definitely not going to use it again!
