Ami could make a gift for a beginner. Also, the gifter won't feel so bad if the person doesn't like the toy since it doesn't cost that much.

Ami really doesn't look like a toy to me. Sure, it vibrates, but it isn't that ergonomic to me. It does have an impression in it's center meant for thumbs or fingers for holding it, but that's where it ends. It's designed more to lay flat, making diffuse vibrations even weaker. Try and use the pointed end, and you might get annoyed by the seam.

Still, the toy is visually interesting. If you're looking for a working, functional toy, move on. If you want to look at other aspects of the toy, Ami could be cute to have in your collection. She doesn't take up much space, so she can fit in with no problem. Overall, the toy doesn't make me angry or made at having.
