Luxe Rejuvenate from Cal Exotics, is marketed as a clitoral vibrator, but its use goes far beyond that! While it works quite well for stimulating the clitoris and labia, it can also be inserted for some shallow g-spot play, or kept external by teasing the nipples and other erogenous areas of the body.

Luxe can be used by any gender, on any area of the body, on your own or with a partner. It's small size makes it easy to use with other toys, and in a variety of positions and situations. While it can't be used hands-free, it's sleek design does keep it out of the way during intercourse, inviting another sensation to your playtime, and works wonderfully for stimulating your partner during oral play as well. If you need a lot of stimulation, this can be used either internally with a clitoral vibrator, or externally with a traditional, g-spot, or other type of vibrator or dildo.

While the base of this toy is larger than the tip, anal insertion isn't recommended. Since you're only able to insert a small amount of the toy, I would suggest finding something else if you have anal play in mind. External teasing around the anus and perineum, however, is totally acceptable.

On top of intimate play, this 'luxury massager' works well to loosen tight muscles in the neck, shoulders, and back. Since the design is so small, it helps to pin-point the tight spots effortlessly, truly helping you to feel rejuvenated!

Though this toy is being sold as a 'waterproof' product, I do not suggest using this in the tub, or shower for that matter. There is a small ring on the inside of the cap that goes against the batteries themselves, but it doesn't look like it would truly prevent water from getting inside. If you're looking for something that's waterproof, I would look elsewhere. Even though this claims to have such a feature, I would call it 'splashproof' at best.

Luxe Rejuvenate is made from PU Coated Plastic which rates a 7/10 on the Eden material safety scale. It's hypo-allergenic, latex free, and phthalates free.

The surface of the toy is very satiny smooth, with no drag to it, but does have a visibly obvious seam that runs along the length of the whole toy. While the seam is obvious to the touch, it's not as obvious while inserted and shouldn't normally touch anything while being used externally. It shouldn't bother anyone other than those extremely sensitive to texture. The toy appears matte since the plastic has the PU coat on it.

Luxe is a rigid toy, there's nothing that bends or gives on the toy, other than the slight indentation that's temporarily caused by pressing the buttons. The buttons aren't PU coated, but are shiny and feel totally smooth to the touch.

There was no odor when I received the toy, however, after using once with a flavored lubricant, the toy has hung on to that scent even though I cleaned the toy right away and have washed it several times since. Plastic is a non-porous material, but I really question how non-porous the PU coating is.

Luxe Rejuvenate comes in three different colors; purple, black, and the one I'm reviewing; pink.

The design of Luxe is very interesting. The tip is rounded, but the face of it is somewhat flat. This is wonderful for having direct pressure on the spots that please you the most. The tip narrows slightly, before widening for the base of the toy. It widens gradually, which makes it not only comfortable, but easy to use.


The outer edge of the toy, where the battery compartment is, is rounded, but the front of the toy has less of a curve to it. The power button is on this side and is in the middle of two small ridges which help keep the toy from slipping from your hands and keep your fingers on the buttons rather than sliding away from them.


The buttons are rounded and are surrounded by a silver accent piece. The whole face of the buttons is rather slippery if you have something on your hands. There are two buttons, the power on/off, and the function button. There's only a slight difference between them when you rub your finger over it. This is so that when it's dark, or you're in the heat of the moment, you won't accidentally press the power button when trying to change functions.


Since the back of the toy has a nice curved shape, it fits very comfortably in your hand, whether you're using it internally for g-spot stimulation, or externally for clitoral play. The ergonomic shape makes it very comfortable to hold, even during extended periods of time.



Inside the battery compartment, there's a small band around the area that goes directly against your batteries. This is supposed to prevent water from leaking in, but it doesn't seem as though it would work very well. It is obvious that it's there, since it takes a little more effort to put the cap back on once your batteries are inserted.



This toy makes it a great beginner product thanks to the non-intimidating shape and overall size of it. It's small enough that it could easily be tucked into a purse, backpack, briefcase, etc. without anyone knowing about it. It's also discreet enough that travel shouldn't be an issue, even if someone were to see it. The shape could easily pass for a small muscle massager without worry.

Luxe functions using two AAA batteries that aren't included. The battery cap is an odd design, the only one I've seen like this. There's a small tab that says 'open' near it, you push that up, and slide the cover off from the toy. You'd think it would flip open or just pop off, but you have to slide it. It does come off easily, so it's not an issue, just a strange design. Once the batteries are inserted, you have to line up the tabs on the cap with the dips inside the toy. It's easy to line up, but you have to slide the cap until you hear a little click, otherwise it's not properly closed. Closing it takes a little more effort than opening since you have to get the rubber around the batteries to compress.




Unlike a lot of vibrators, there are two separate buttons on this toy. An on/off button, and the functions button. When you press the 'on' button it doesn't start any type of vibration until you press the function button, but the function button won't do anything until the toy is turned on. The buttons make a clicking sound when pressed, and you can feel them compressing. When the toy is turned on, the buttons light up red, making it easy to tell if the toy is on or not.


There are a total of seven different functions on this toy. They are:

1) Steady Low
2) Steady Medium
3) Steady High
4) Escalating (kind of shutters, isn't smooth)
5) High Pulsations
6) Fast Pulsations
7) Pulsation and Steady (Cha, cha, cha, chaaaa)

After first turning the toy on, each click brings you to the next function pattern. Once you've cycled through all the settings, you start back at the first one. The toy only turns off using the separate power button. After having used the toy and turned it off, turning the toy back on and pressing the function button will bring you to the first function again. The toy doesn't hold your place.

The vibrations are more focused in the tip, but can be felt throughout the toy. It is on the buzzy side of the scale, but is a 'deeper' buzz than many other toys from Cal Exotics. Your fingers may feel tingly after using the toy, but that's going to depend on the way your hand rests on it and how long it was in use.

Power queens will probably feel a little let down by this toy. Even on the highest setting it's hard to work for an orgasm rather than being relaxed and have it come to you. It's frustrating in that sense, but will work fine for someone who doesn't need a lot of power or is interested in their first multi-functioning toy.

The sound level isn't too bad. It can be heard through the covers, but can only be heard through a closed door if someone were to put their ear against it and obviously be trying to listen for a specific sound. I would say that it's discreet enough to use if you have roommates, but I would accompany the vibrations with some background noise such as a fan, the TV, or radio.

Care for this toy is very simple. It can be cleaned using antibacterial soap and warm water, or your favorite sex toy cleaner. Always make sure that the toy is fully dry and the batteries are removed before storing.

Luxe is compatible with both water based and silicone lubricants since it's made from PU coated ABS plastic, however, the package says to only use a water based lubricant for maximum pleasure.

There's no issue with material compatibility when it comes to this toy, so you don't need any type of special storage for it. You can toss it in a drawer, use the original packaging, or use a small toy pouch. I wouldn't advise leaving the toy laying around; though it does resemble a small muscle massager, someone who knows more about sex toys might know what it's really for. So if you want to be discreet about your playthings, keeping it hidden is a smart choice.

Luxe comes in a thin plastic package. This package isn't discreet in the sense that the toy is obviously seen through the front and there's some information on it that might give away what the toy is for; but on the other hand, it's very tasteful and shows no nudity.

The plastic that goes directly in front of the toy, and on either side, is clear. The rest of the box is frosted looking with some flower and swirl patterns through it. The back of the box shows a full color image of the toy and gives a little information about it; that there are different functions, it's quiet, powerful, etc. It doesn't come right out and say that this is a sex toy, but the information would be an obvious give away for anyone that hasn't been living under a rock for the last thirty years.



When you open the cover of the box, you'll find the toy nestled inside a plastic piece that hugs the toy close and holds it in place.



The package does take up more space than necessary for the toy, but not so much that it would need a different home. The design of the front makes it simple to see what is contained which is really nice if you have a large collection of toys. Should you decide to dispose of the packaging, it can be broken down and recycled or tossed like you would anything else that's made of plastic.
