This kegel exerciser is different from many other ones available. Having a handle that is comfortable to hold makes this better in my opinion. I'm not really a set it and forget it kind of gal, so I really like having more control in how it's inserted. If you tried kegel balls and didn't like them, or you don't like the way they look/act and still want to try the benefit of kegel exercises, I would definitely try out this toy.
This pink glass kegel exerciser may be small in size but doesn't lack in the department of varied use. Its original intention is to help aide your kegel exercises, but I have found that this toy/device can be used in a couple of different ways.
First of all, Kegel exercises are done to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles (you know, the muscles inside of your vagina). There are several benefits to kegel exercises, including a more intense sexual experience and orgasm, and even improving urinary incontinence. The act of the exercise is supposed to tighten or "engage" your pelvic floor muscles to improve muscle tone.
I think solo use and use during couple play both work well. Using this toy during sex or foreplay can add a level of intimacy and trust that some other toys might not since it offers more than just "fun."
I also feel that you could use this as a dildo or probe. If you are going to use this as a sex toy, be cautious. I don't think I'm extra sensitive but I found that the slightly pointed tip can be a little painful if too much pressure is applied. When my husband tried to angle it towards my g-spot, I found it to be too much and most definitely the wrong kind of g-spot pressure. Ow. The three bulbs offer a lot of stimulation, but mind the tip! I would also keep this in mind if you plan on using this as an anal probe as well. You have to be extra careful if using this anally since there is no flared base and only a small bulb on the end of the handle. Glass can become very slippery when lubricated so I would only recommend anal play with a partner. Another great thing about this product is that you can alter the feel of each session by changing the temperature of the wand. This glass toy will retain the heating or cooling that is applied to it.
The exerciser is made of 100% Borosilicate glass, is non porous and has no odor or taste whatsoever. The box states that it is "Hygienically superior," and I'm comfortable with that claim. The glass is completely smooth and free from any defects. It's also hypoallergenic and free of any other additives like phalates and latex. I love the way this toy feels; the stimulation from glass is really different from that of other materials. I felt every part of this toy, even while completely wet from natural means and added lubrication. It was almost as if the texture and shape of the glass made me focus more on what was happening inside of my vagina, which I don't count as a bad thing.
I really love the way this kegel wand looks. The light pink glass and the curves of the bulbs really make this a cute, feminine piece. Since I'm a girl, I won't deny the fact that it produces a pretty pink sparkle when the light hits it. There are two medium and one large bulb on the insertable end and a very small bulb on the handle end (I'm distinguishing which end is which, but really you could use either end for insertion. One just has less bulbs than the other). I think it's really helpful that this wand has two different sized bulbs, because it provides two different levels when it comes to toning your pelvic floor muscles.
The pointed bulb tip rounds down into the next bulb with a smooth transition, the middle bulb to the largest is slightly different. Instead of the bulb being completely "round" on the side nearest the large bulb, it stops abruptly. I don't feel that this is a design flaw at all. I actually think it's a great area to focus on for clenching since there is a defined area between those two bulbs.
The small bulb on the handle end isn't cumbersome or annoying to hold and it fits well in my or my partners hand when in use. If you are using this toy backwards, with the handle end inserted, the multiple bulbs on the insertion end make for a decent hand grip, as long as your hands aren't covered in lubrication. On that note, I will suggest to keep something nearby to clean your hands off since lubrication really makes this wand slick.
Total Length 7.5 inches
Length of the multi-bulb end 4 inches
Large bulb circumference 4 inches
Middle bulb circumference 3 1/4 inches
Pointed bulb end 3 inches circumference
Handle end bulb (round, not pointed) 3 inches
This toy is one that commands focus. I think it's a great kegel exerciser because of this. You know, when you're playing with the everyday dildo, you don't always think about every crevice or spot that it touches inside of you. But that's why it's a toy; It's made for fun use. Since this is billed as an exerciser, it has to offer some sort of a result and I think it lives up to that through it's design and how you use that. The design of the curves, multiple sizes in the bulbs and the glass material it's made from all contribute to defining this wand as a great kegel aide.
I felt like the transition is the size of the bulbs helped me first build up the muscle tone in the vagina and but it also offered a relief in the form of variety. Sitting, or laying around doing kegels can become kinda boring if you're trying to focus without another form of entertainment to keep you busy. When you adjust what bulbs or end are inserted, it keeps your body guessing. It's also pretty easy to change what bulb level you have inserted. Just remember there is three, last being the biggest. Overall, I feel that it offers a decent amount of variety and that ability change can be super beneficial to reaching whatever goal you're after by doing kegel exercises.
Cleaning this kegel aide is really easy. Since it's made of glass, it's non porous and can be washed by using soap and water, or even a toy cleaner. The box recommends to "Pat dry with a soft, cotton towel and allow to air dry completely." I do agree with this, but I don't pat it dry. I prefer to wash and then just let it lay out on a towel (not on a high surface for fear of falling) and let it finish its drying there. I do this because it's an extra step in preventing little towel or cotton fibers from clinging to the toy. I don't know about you but seeing a hair or dust or whatever covered toy is a major turn off. Even if it's an exerciser like this toy.
There aren't any cracks or crevices that germs and lube can get stuck in but it does have one area that needs a little more attention while cleaning. As I mentioned before, after the first two bulbs, the continued curve stops abruptly before reaching the biggest bulb. It isn't a huge area, so it's unlikely to be a catch all for sex grime but it's still a good idea to double check that you got it all during cleaning. As for lubrication, you can use water, silicone or oil based.
Someone who already owns a glass toy might know that glass doesn't necessarily need more effort in preventing damage but that you should by mindful of where you place it. Since this glass is of a stronger build, it's less likely to break but it is round and it does roll. Just in case, to save myself from worrying about it getting knocked around in storage, I just keep it in its original packaging.
The packaging is pretty simple. The box front shows an actual size image of the toy, and the sides have plastic viewing windows. Not so discreet, but classy anyhow. Comes without any instructions and has minimal product description on the outside of the packaging. Basically, the company website, material and size info, the standard sex toy warning about pre-existing conditions and medical claims, and a three point bit about care and maintenance. How to wash, dry and you should probably use lube.
What I really feel is worth the mention is how it's packaged inside of the box. Inside there are two foam stoppers, one for each end, that cradle the wand. This keeps the toy from touching anything but the nice, soft foam bits. So essentially, it's "floating" inside its own packaging. This is why I store it in its own box.
I have used this toy in a couple of different ways. I tried it on my own, laying down and didn't have any problems maneuvering it. I also used this while in the shower as a challenge to see how long I could focus on tightening and releasing while preoccupied with something else. I had to keep my legs completely together to prevent it from slipping out, so pretty much had to stand completely still. While this might prospectively sound kinda sexy, using this in the shower, I'm sure I probably looked like a goober. Or like someone who needed to poop. So consider this if you plan on any sexy times in the shower. I also tried to use this as a more pleasurable toy, like I would use a dildo. I asked my husband to find my g-spot with it and found that the semi pointed tip hurt when pressure was applied. So, that route didn't work for me. Also, even mild thrusting was a little painful for me, so that's out too. I don't think of my vagina as being super sensitive but it was for this toy. I really think the tip is the biggest factor in these issues though. All in all, pleasurable use is questionable but I did get great satisfaction from using it for its intended creation as a kegel exerciser.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it18 days after original review
After the initial first use of this device, I was a little baffled. I was determined though, to make this work for me since I'm not a fan of kegel balls. I'm glad I didn't give up because I feel like the continued use is helping me tone my pelvic floor muscles. I enjoy this device more when I'm using it with my husband because he can control the depth and worry about the handle while being hands free myself allows me to concentrate more on contracting my muscles. I'll admit I don't use this exerciser as much as I probably should but I know if I upped the usage, my results would increase as well. As with any kegel exerciser, one time use and even a handful of uses isn't going to change the strength of your muscles; regular, routine use is your best bet to get the most out of a device like this one.

Excellent review! I never thought of using a glass toy in the shower. I'm too afraid I'll drop and break it.

Thank you for the review. I have the large one and that end it a bit pointy! I don't know about the small, but with the large I found that it works really well for pushing out, as the ben wa balls don't work as well for this. Thank you for the pictures and review!
