The FOU is a new vibrator from Fun Factory and is part of the FreeVibes line (which also includes the YOOO and UFO). Soft and pliable, easy and comfortable to hold, the FOU can be used on the nipples, neck, and back – just about anywhere you desire somewhat rumbly vibrations for stimulating sensation. Where it excels is for clitoral stimulation, however, and with its unique design it can create different delightful sensations depending upon your taste and orgasmic needs.

Since it’s waterproof, the FOU can join you in the shower or bath as well as on the bed.

This toy comes in 2 colors. I received mine in India Red, which is a vibrant red reminiscent of fluorescent red Tempera paint (it doesn’t glow in the dark). The red part of the FOU is silicone, which is delightfully soft and squishy as well as scentless and completely seamless. The surface has a considerable amount of drag and will pick up lint and hairs easily.

The FOU’s base is made of white plastic. On the base are 3 silicone buttons for controlling the toy, as well as the FUN logo where the Click ‘N Charge charger is attached to power the rechargeable battery when needed.

The FOU is egg shaped, and at 2 1/2” long and just over 6 1/2” in diameter at its widest point, fits comfortably in the hand for use. Instead of being a solid egg shape, however, the FOU has a smooth cutout off-centered from its tip, creating a channel through the toy. The channel is about 1/2" deep. It creates the appearance of a curled lip over a mouth on the top of the toy. This channel works well for cupping the nipples or the clit during use, as it is quite flexible and opens wide for easy adjustment.

While the FOU comes charged, it’s recommended to charge it for 8 hours prior to use. It should never be stored uncharged and should be used regularly to make the battery inside last longer. The battery has a protective circuit that prevents it from overcharging or completely discharging, so the FOU can safely be left charging if desired. When fully charged, the FOU should provide several hours of continuous use.

The FOU is charged by placing the magnetic piece of the Click ‘N Charge charger over the FUN on the bottom of the toy. The FUN on the charger must line up and go in the same direction as the FUN on the base. When the charger is plugged in and the FUNs are correctly aligned, the three buttons on the FOU's base will glow on and off in white while charging is occurring, and the FUN on the charger will light in red. It’s easiest to keep the connection with the FOO resting on its side with the channel side down. Both the charger and the motor may warm up during use but they won’t become significantly hot.

This toy is easy to hide away in its bag or box, and is fairly discreet. It does not have a locking mode, although the buttons must be pressed for about 2 seconds to turn the toy on, so it will travel more safely in its box.

The FOU is controlled by three buttons on its base. These buttons are in a triangle, and each has a different symbol on its top indicating its function. After some use, the buttons can be told apart by touch.

With the FUN logo horizontally upright, the + button is the lower left of the triangle. Pressing and holding this button for about 2 seconds turns on the FOU. Vibration strength can be increased by pressing and/or holding the + button to get to the desired intensity.

The – button is in the lower right of the triangle. Pressing and/or holding this button decreases the vibration intensity and also turns the FOU off.

The * button forms the top of the triangle. This button starts the FOU running through its patterns. It can also be used to turn the toy on in its first pattern. The patterns don’t occur at the various vibration levels; rather, when the * button is pressed the FOU jumps to its highest intensity as the patterns commence.

To go back to steady vibrations, either the + or – can be pressed.

The FOU has about 6 levels of steady vibrations, and the following patterns:
- Fast pulse
- Fast roller coaster
- Slower roller coaster
- Longer, smoother roller coaster

The vibrations are fairly rumbly, and can be felt throughout the toy.

The FOU provides different sensations, depending on how it’s held. If you prefer direct, firm pressure, the FOU will work best by using the side above the channel pressed into your clit. If you like a tonguing sensation, the nose above the channel will provide more direct and sharp sensations. Depending on your anatomy, the channel can also surround your clit and provide the vibrations to both sides.

The FOU is somewhat loud, although it’s quieter when some pressure is used to apply it or it is on its lowest two speeds. It can be heard beneath covers, although it won’t be heard from behind a closed door, and any background music will completely mask the sound.

The FOU is easy to clean with antibacterial soap and warm water, toy wipes, or sprays. It can be cleaned with a soft, lint free cloth and stored in its bag or box. If necessary, only waterbased lubricants should be used.

If, during travel and temperature change the FOU develops a light condensation on its surface, a few hours should be allowed to elapse before using it so it can adapt to its new environment.

This toy shouldn’t be left in the sun, or poked with sharp objects. It shouldn’t be charged near water or moisture, and the charging plug shouldn’t come into contact with metal surfaces (like refrigerators) as it may short circuit and become unusable. Credit cards shouldn’t come near the toy or charging plug as the magnets may damage the card, and if you have a pacemaker you shouldn’t use the FOU.

The FOU comes in a cube shaped box enclosed in a sleeve. All four sides of the sleeve form a brightly colored running tableau, with pictures of the toy, a globe with Love, small pictures detailing the “magic Touch” and the magnetic feature, as well as small diagrams of where the toy can be used on a woman’s front and back. The inner box is a soft gold color, with Fun Factory logo on top of lid in a darker shade. Lift the lid, and nestled in the red interior is a satiny soft gold drawstring bag. This bag is lined with a gold tulle bag, and inside the FOU rests, waiting to be used. Below the bag in the box is a sample packet of ToyFluid lubricant and a small instruction manual detailing the Click ‘N Charge system and warnings in multiple languages. No actual instructions for the product use are included.

The charger for the FOU comes in a separate box, as it does with all Click ‘N Charge toys.

The packaging is tasteful enough that the FOU can be given as a gift, either with or without the outer cube (it will be more discreet and less whimsical if the sleeve is removed). The bag alone, or the box, make for ideal storage.

The FOU is a pretty fun vibrator. It’s strictly a clitoral vibrator for me, and I like the shape of this toy more than I expected. The channel allows for some very different sensations, and I like using it with just the nose or with the channel around my clit, as it seems much more intense. I like the vibration patterns, particularly the long and slow roller coaster, but I usually use this mostly on high. The strength of the vibrations is good, and what I’d expect from a Fun Factory toy. I think the FOU is a bit loud, but it’s certainly not as loud as many of the powerhouse vibrators I own.
