Couture collection Liberte 2 – A beginner’s best friend!
The Liberte 2 is definitely one of the most underrated toys I’ve seen on Eden. With its range of vibrations, discreet noise level, and overall sleek feel and design, I would recommend this toy to anyone, but especially to beginners due to its small size.

Pros
Attractive, quiet, silicone, waterproof, easy to clean
Cons
One button for seven functions can be inconvenient
The Couture collection Liberte 2 is manufactured by Cal Exotics. It is sleek, soft, and its shape is non-imposing. It can be safely used for foreplay, vaginal play, g-spotting or to massage other areas of the body. Its variety of vibrations makes it great for use on the body’s erogenous zones. It has no base, so it would not be safe for anal play. It has one button at the bottom that the user presses in order to access all of its settings. Because it is completely waterproof, it can be used in the pool, shower, or bathtub.
I’ve used it with my two partners who were completely new to sex toys, and they gave it their overwhelming approval. Its design, thin shape, and soft vibrations make it the perfect introduction to vibrators. Although silicone is non-porous, if it is being used on more than one partner it would be a good idea to use it with a condom.
The Liberte 2 is 100% silicone, which earns it a top safety rating. Because it is made of silicone you should only use it with water-based lubricant. Other lubes will break down the silicone and damage the toy. There’s about an inch of plastic at the bottom handle that is not intended to be inserted into the body. The very top of the toy is flexible, but the rest stays stiff, although the toy is quite soft. The silicone is smooth and gives the toy a slight “squishy” quality with plenty of give. There are shallow lines running down the side of the toy that I think adds a pleasurable sensation when used vaginally. Silicone sometimes grabs on the skin a bit, but I have not had that problem with this toy.
The overall design is very sleek and attractive. Its color, white and silver, removes any in-your-face quality quite a many other vibrators seem to have, which makes it great for beginners who are nervous or flustered about their first sex toy. The end is slightly bulbous, but the toy overall is not very girthy. It was actually smaller than I would have liked, which was unexpected (I’m no size queen), but is definitely a plus for first-time users. I still enjoy using it due to its range of vibrations and forgiving material.
It measures 6 ½ in long, with only 5 ½ that is meant to be inserted. It is 3 ½ in at its circumference, 1 ½ in. at its diameter, and its product page says it weighs 3 oz. It feels incredibly light, even with batteries inserted.
It has seven different functions which range from low to high, and has several cycling functions that spices up the usual monotony of the usual low to high slider. I like to work my way up to the higher functions and occasionally add some variety with the cycles. There is one button at the bottom for all the functions, so it can be slightly inconvenient when you have to cycle through several functions in order to find the one you like, or if you need to turn it off quickly. Also, the button is not lockable, so there is a chance that it may turn on if bumped into. I do like that it’s incredibly quiet, particularly for its power level. It runs on two AA batteries and so far seems to have a long battery life.
Because the toy is made from silicone, it is nonporous and incredibly easy to clean. It can be cleaned with disinfectant/bleach. Although silicone is generally pretty safe to boil, you should not boil the Liberte 2 due to the plastic handle and button at the bottom. High temperatures could damage the plastic, make the toy not work, and potentially cause the toy to be unsafe to use.
The packaging was pretty unimpressive. It was shipped in a thin, white paper box with a picture of the toy in the front. It could possibly be used for storage, although I threw mine away after taking the toy out.
Even though it is not as girthy as I would have wanted, I still enjoy using it. It’s always one of the first my partners and I reach for in the bedroom. I adore its sleekness and am overall very happy with this purchase.
This was the first toy I bought from Eden. I was so excited to get it! As soon as I took it out of its packaging it started picking up lint and cat hair. No big deal, I had heard that silicone was known to do that. A rinse in the sink took care of that straight away.
My very first time using it was thrilling. I played with all of the functions to see what felt nice. I prefer it on its highest setting, non-fluctuating. When I eventually introduced it to my toy-shy partners, they weren't intimidated by its size or design at all. Sometimes they ask for it when things get hot and heavy. We use it with condoms for safety reasons and to make it easier to clean, although our condoms are a little big for it and tend to slip off easily.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with this toy. It remains at the top of my toy bag.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it4 months after original review
The Liberte 2 still has it! I have yet to get to get bored with this toy. For it's modest design and simple features, it can keep a lady or gentleman entertained for a very long time. This is still the first toy I reach for when I look to have some personal time, and one of my partners loves to use it on me. It's a perfect first toy and definitely worth the money!
