With toys it's all about knowing what the intended use is. If you like slim vibes and you don't need a lot of power, Harmony Radiance can work for you. Or if a slim tapered anal vibe is on your wish list - this could be one to try. Just be aware that it lacks the flare that many prefer for anal toys.
The Harmony Radiance is a small hard plastic vibe with medium power and an interesting little curve. I'd say it's a pretty good option for beginners who are experimenting with g-spot or p-spot play. Because it's plastic you can use the lube of your choice - even silicone. For vaginal use, I doubt most women would even need lubrication. With even a basic level of arousal, you should be ready to take in this slim specimen.
Harmony Radiance could also be used for clitoral stimulation - the curve makes it easy to apply pressure as needed without contorting your wrist like you would for a straight vibe. If you like to use vibes for your nipples or other body parts there isn't any reason why the Harmony Radiance wouldn't be a good choice.
The battery compartment has on 'o' ring and the buttons are sealed so it's waterproof enough for easy cleaning or for use in the shower or jacuzzi.
With Harmony what you see is what you get. A hard plastic shell with a smooth taper and a small ball at the end. The plastic has no odor or taste and should be considered relatively non porous. Due to it's modest size advanced users will want to pass on Harmony Radiance - but it's great for beginners.
The curved plastic body of Harmony Radiance is 8" long. The batteries are installed from the bottom where it flares out to about 1.25". The bottom screws off exposing the compartment for two (2) AAA batteries. Screwing the top back on cinches the o-ring protecting the batteries from lube and water.
You will not want to use the full 8" for penetration. The controls are 5.5" from the tip - and should probably be the extent of penetration. However, the controls are sealed and neither you or the toy should suffer any damage if you get carried away and go beyond the 5.5" point.
The little ball at the tip is about 3/4" in diameter so it should make for easy insertion either vaginally or anally. A lot of purist will say that Harmony Radiance is not anal safe because it has no flare. Fair enough - but I can report to having used in many times and had no problems with losing it inside.
Just past the ball - the shaft drops off to 1/2" - then tapers back out to 1.25" over about 5" in length. The gradual taper is smooth and can serve as a good toy for opening up tight spaces - if you need that sort of thing.
The curve is also useful as an ergonomic aid to make clitoral stimulation easy without over torquing your wrist.
The motor for Harmony Radiance is located directly on top of the battery compartment (2 AAA batteries). That focuses the vibrations almost exactly at the half-way point about 4.5" from the tip. Because the plastic is hard - the vibrations travel well - but definitely are not as strong at the tip.
The controls are simple and easy to use. There are two sealed black buttons '+' & '-' that have the obvious effect on vibrations. Press the + button 1 to 4 times increases the intensity as you go. Reversing with the - button brings it back down. No annoying patterns, if you like that sort of thing, try something different.
The vibrations go from mild to medium and the sound level goes from low to medium. The modest power of this vibe is another indication that it is geared toward beginners. I wouldn't say it's too loud for a dorm room - but using it under the covers and turning on the vibes after penetration will help your private time - stay private.
Maintenance of Harmony Radiance is quite simple. Wash in hot/warm soapy water - just make sure the battery cap is on tight. Harmony Radiance is well made, there have been no issues with water after cleaning. Since you can use any type of lube - if you use oil or silicone based lubes, be sure to use the appropriate cleanser to thoroughly clean the plastic.
I would not recommend boiling Harmony Radiance to disinfect it. A light alcohol or bleach rub should do the trick for sanitizing the toy after anal - or sharing.
Harmony is small and easy to conceal - just drop her in your sock drawer and she'll be there when needed. The plastic packaging could be retained, it would just take up a lot of space.
The Harmony Radiance comes in a nice plastic box with a form fitted internal plastic inner box. Actually pretty well made to protect the product in shipment.
If you like using original packaging - this will work for you. For us the package takes up too much space - it just goes in the toy drawer with the rest of our goodies.
We purchased the Harmony Radiance because I had hopes that both my wife and I could use it anally. We knew from the start there was neither enough size or power to be of any use for my wife clitoraly or vaginally.
So how did it work? For me pretty good. With a little silicone lube the tip slipped in easily and the taper made for a nice stretch and relax sensation as my wife stroked it inside - and the curve help transfer some vibration to my prostate. However most of the vibrations are in the center of the vibe at where it's about 1" in diameter - the vibes focus nicely on my sphincter muscles allowing the vibes to radiate throughout my pelvic area.
For my wife I had hoped that the gradual taper would help her get comfortable with the stretch of something larger than the 3/4" she's use to. Although Harmony did a nice job with that - it turns out that the taper is a bad choice because with a dildo or vibe inserted vaginally the curve caused uncomfortable pressure. So for her worked OK for anal only - but not dual penetration.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it2 months after original review
I'm giving this one the benefit of the doubt. There isn't a choice for it was OK then - and is still just OK. I can't say we like it - but it's a pretty good toy for p-spot play once in a while.

Thanks for the wonderful review. Too bad it doesn't work during DP, just stick with the Pure plug.

Curiouscat, Booty Bandit & Rossie - thanks for the positive feedback. Next up will be My G4 Big Boss review - that that's no beginners toy!
GONE!
Thanks for the review, you did a great job. This toy sounds like something I might want to try.

So nice to see both perspectives. Personally, I wouldn't use this anally since there's not enough of a taper, but it's good to know it still works for more than just the intended use.
