This PU coat gives the vibe a soft touch so it glides easily and pleasantly across your skin, and it also protects it from scratches and nicks. Mood Powerful is inflexible, so you can apply a lot of pressure or a little pressure, whichever you prefer, and the vibes continue just as strong.

Not all of Mood Powerful is made of plastic, of course---the motor and the circuit board are made of metal and semiconductors, and the battery housing is made of a white plastic which is also odorless. The button and the color-coordinated o-ring for the watertight seal are made of rubber with only a very light odor (I have to actually touch my nose with the button to be able to smell it).

Mood Powerful's velvety texture overall makes me very happy. There aren't even any variations where the swirls are.

A bullet is a classic design---just a plastic housing for (from bottom to tip) a button, a circuit board, a battery, and a motor. Mood Powerful Large has expanded on that design a little bit---instead of one battery, it packs two. (There is even a removable insert to help the batteries stay tightly in place to prevent rattling.) The extra battery means that Mood Powerful has a bit of a length boost and a bit of a power boost. I really enjoy the extra length---it prevents fingers from receiving too many of the vibrations, and it also makes more positions for insertable play and partnered play possible.

Like your average bullet, Mood Powerful Large is just the right size to house its AAA batteries, with the base being 0.75" at the widest, and ever so gradually tapering up to a rounded tip which is 0.56" in diameter. Unlike your average bullet, Mood Powerful is 5.5" long, providing the ability to insert all but an inch. Mood Powerful Large would be a great choice for any user looking for a whimsically-styled, simple, unintimidating bullet with a lot of versatility.

Mood Powerful Large offers a function for everyone---with its seven functions and one button, simply press the button to cycle through until you find your favorite setting. Mood Powerful can be turned off by advancing past the seventh setting, or by pressing and holding the button for two seconds at any time.

Mood Powerful's settings are a low steady hum, a medium steady hum, and a high steady hum. Next come the patterns: first is a slow escalation and deescalation pattern, second is a ' highdigadigadiga low dumm' pattern that reminds me of triple-tonguing practice for playing brass instruments. Third is a repeated quick-escalating pulse, and the final pattern is a continuous very quick high-low-high-low-high-low oscillation.

The motor is in the very tip of the vibrator, and thanks to the extra length, your clit will feel much more vibration than your fingers will. It is not terribly loud, but it is still worth closing your door prior to use.

Thanks to a very sturdy design and strong construction, caring for Mood Powerful hardly takes a thought. Thanks to its watertight seal, you can easily wash it with soap and water between uses. Its hard plastic with polyurethane coating makes it compatible with any type of lubricant that's safe for your body, whether you prefer water-based, oil-based, or silicone lubes.

The threads on the battery cap are very sturdy and strong, so you will not have to worry about cross-threading and ruining your vibe if you're ever changing AAA batteries in a hurry. Storage is simple too---the polyurethane coat is very scratch-resistant, so even keeping Mood Powerful loose in a drawer is just fine. The decorative swirls are not a painted-on afterthought---they are under the PU coat as well, so your vibe will stay pretty for a long time to come.

Mood Powerful comes in cheerful chic packaging which is very informative. It should be acceptable for gift-giving, but it is not sturdy enough for long term storage. Fortunately, Mood Powerful itself is quite sturdy so no special storage is needed.

Before trying out Mood Powerful Large, I had really come to enjoy the Mood Powerful Small. Even though I'm not a very bullet-oriented toy user, the one-battery version of Mood Powerful has become my go-to bullet (both for standalone use, and for filling in the bullet hole of dildos and other sleeves). I really enjoy the pretty swirls, waterproofness, seven functions, and the rumbly (not very powerful, but still very pleasant) vibrations of Mood Powerful Small.

When I saw Mood Powerful Large, I thought I would like it even more. Keeping the same whimsical appearance, and the seven functions and waterproofness, and adding extra length sounded like a great idea. I thought the length would provide an extra buffer, so I could hold the bullet at the base and have my hand further from the motor, so my fingers wouldn't be vibrated during use. I also though it would be easier to hold where I wanted it with a little more freedom during sex or when I was using a dildo at the same time. Also, even though anal use isn't suggested because there is no flared base, with a firm grip and inserting no more than the first 1.5 inches I thought I might see if this served as an anal warmup tool.

All of those uses are still quite possible... but I just don't see myself excited to reach for this vibe. Sadly, instead of the nice quality vibrations I found in Mood Powerful Small, Mood Powerful Large is just buzzy. I was really surprised by this, so when I first turned it on and though "woah, that's not the same!" I got out my Small and compared them on different fingertips, and on each side of my nose. MP Large is a tiny bit more powerful, a tiny bit louder, and a lot more buzzy than MP Small.

They have the same patterns and the same circuit board. Where Mood Powerful Small uses one AAA battery, Mood Powerful Large uses two---but I suspect the big difference is in the motor. Mood Powerful Small has the logo for PowerBullet engraved on the back side, and Mood Powerful Large does not.

It's not painfully buzzy, and it doesn't numb me (like the High Intensity Bullet does)... but it feels annoying instead of pleasant, and I had to switch to my hands to be able to orgasm. This will still make a good warmup tool, and it should even be fine for those who know their bodies respond well to buzzy, surface-level vibrations. But if you prefer penetrating rumbles, choose Mood Powerful Small instead.
