These balls are best used vaginally, I wouldn't recommend anal. You can use these at any time of the day/night (provided that you are awake). The reason a person needs to be awake is for maximum usability, you need to be awake so you can exercise your pelvic muscles while having the balls inside you.

The design of these could and should have been better thought out during production. It has a ring around the center where this was pieced together and you can feel it scraping against the wall, but it isn't bad enough to bruise or make you bleed ... it's just an annoyance. The string that attaches these two balls together isn't a smooth string either and it can feel coarse when these babies shift inside you. They are made from hard plastic and when shaken, you can hear the balls inside the balls, fumbling around (it's like ball-ception). It has little round pits along the top and bottom of the balls, I guess to make the inside ball feel different.

These things are a lot larger than they look in the picture and can be a bit of work getting them inside the vaj! They are about the size of a golf ball, well, a little smaller I guess. In case it wasn't obvious, these balls are round! As mentioned above, the ring that is around the balls is a bit rough and should have been smoothed out during production so that there won’t be issues. It comes packaged in this cute little holder and with the attached string, they kind of look like an ornament that goes on a Christmas tree! Word of advice, if you order this and go to open it, be smart and cut the darn near invisible tape that is holding both sides closed, otherwise there will be angry words coming from your mouth!

Now for this part! To me personally, they were a bit on the large size compared to the diameter of my vaj. Women who have had kids (vaginally) or reconstructive surgery (I have had both) because of child birth, and for women who have scar tissue on the perineum will see that this can hurt the first few times it is inserted. After waiting almost 2 months to do the review since I got the balls (I wanted there to be enough time and experience before writing the review so I can give it enough time to work), I have noticed a little difference. After starting out with completely damaged kegel muscles and not being able to squeeze air, now I can. Granted it isn't a big leap as far as strength goes, (to the average person) but to me, it is a huge difference and makes me excited! I'm sure that after a few more months of use, I will be able to snap my hubby in half! To other new users, even though results can be achieved in a short amount of time, I still say give it several months for it to work, it isn't a miracle cure and will not make your pelvic floor stronger overnight!

This baby is pretty easy to clean with anti-bacterial soap or with toy cleaner (I have tried both and both work fine). Now when you get to the string, I would spend a little more time cleaning it to make sure it gets cleaned thoroughly. The plastic part comes clean with a little scrubbing.

This is optional but won't let me save without putting something in this box... wth?
