The Intimates basic Jasmine is a traditional vibe that is perfect for those that are new to sex toys. It has a nice bumpy shape that delivers great sensations when inserted, has moderate vibrations, and is waterproof! Advanced users might not be very impressed by this toy, but for beginners it is a great introductory vibrator.
The Intimate basics jasmine by Cal exotics is your basic traditional vibrator that is perfect for beginners. It is not realistic looking and has a cute design. It has mild to moderate vibrations and the size is not overly threatening for someone that is new to sex toys. Advanced users might not be very impressed by this toy.
This vibrator is great for clitoral or vaginal stimulation. It has multiple speeds that you can go through using the dial at the base. It is waterproof so it is safe to use in the shower or tub. Anal play is not recommended as it doesn't have a flared based.
The jasmine is on the slim side, so size queens/kings might want to look somewhere else if they are looking for a bigger toy.
This toy can be used either solo or with a partner, but if it is shared it is advised to use a condom, just to be safe.
The basics jasmine is made of plastic. Plastic rates an 8 on the Eden safety scale, it is non-porous, and very safe to use. It is made of food-grade material and it is hypo-allergenic. It is also latex free and phthalates free.
Since it is made of plastic, water and silicone lubricants are safe to use with this toy.
Upon opening this toy there was no odor noticeable, and it also had no taste.
The Intimate basics jasmine comes only in a beautiful matte lavender color. It has a smooth velvety texture that feels nice against the skin and it has no drag.
This toy measures 8" in length, and has a circumference of 4 1/4". It has a bulbous head and a bumpy shaft. The shaft has 6 bump segments, sort of like a caterpillar. There is a faint seam running along one side of the toy and you can only feel it if you touch it with your fingers. The base where the dial is located is made of a ribbed hard plastic in dark purple.
The bumps in the shaft are faintly felt once inserted, but the head is more noticeable since it is somewhat bigger than the segments in the shaft. The jasmine is not really thick, but it is a comfortable size for insertion. Since it is plastic it is rigid, and has no give at all.
The jasmine has a dial base where you can control its various speeds. It just goes from Low to High. To turn it off you just go all the way down on the dial.
The vibrations are mild to moderate. They are kind of buzzy and they are good on the highest setting, but not that great. Also, when in the highest setting the toy is loud, it could be heard in the same room, but if you have background noise I don't think it could be heard on the other side of the door.
It uses two AA batteries, and it is advisable to take out the batteries once you are done playing to extend the life of your batteries. Inside the battery compartment there is a rolled up paper showing which way the batteries go.
This toy is waterproof, which makes it quite easy to clean. You can just use antibacterial soap and water, or you favorite toy cleaner or wipes. Do not boil it or put it in a dishwasher since it has mechanical parts inside and you could destroy your toy.
Either water or silicone based lubricants are safe to use with the jasmine.
For now I'm just storing this toy in the packaging it came in, and along with my other toys in a box.
The Intimate basic jasmine comes in a clear clam shell packaging. The packaging doesn't have any explicit pictures, but because you can clearly see the toy inside it is not very discreet. On the front is has the toy's name and some of it's features.
On the back it has useful information, like directions on how to use the toy, what lubricants are compatible, and how to clean it.
It was very easy to open, and inside it also had folded up page with instructions in six languages.
The jasmine is a good vibrator for someone that is new to sex toys, but for more advanced users it is not something very exiting. The vibrations were good, but I personally like something stronger in my toys.
When I used this toy I found I prefer to use it for clitoral stimulation. The vibrations were not very strong, but they were acceptable. Also, I found I rather liked the shape and the thickness of this toy. It wasn't very big, but it was comfortable, and the bumps felt really nice when going in and out. It is a great toy for beginners, since it isn't overly threatening in size.
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore1 month after original review
This is a good basic toy but I feel that it is more suited for beginners. Advanced users like me might get bored with it. It doesn't get much use now and just sits at the bottom of my toy box.
