Ami — Not Quite my Cup of Tea
If you're an exercise buff, these might be just your thing. Unfortunately, I didn't like them very much, and they've been collecting dust in my closet.

Pros
Nice design and packaging. All silicone.
Cons
Slight greasy residue found when I opened the package.
Oh, exercise. You require so much dedication, and if I'm not motivated to go to the gym to lift weights, am I really going to be motivated to lift weights at home with my girly bits?
I know I'm not the first person to fall for the "buy this exercise equipment and you'll be in great shape overnight!" train of thought. I mean, that's practically the premise of all infomercials. But in reality, as so many of us learn, you have to actually use the equipment to get the results. I liked the idea of working my kegel muscles, I really did. But in practice, I found the Ami weights to be a little weird and off-putting, and I just didn't want to use them.
But let's back up and look at what the Ami actually is. It's a three-piece set of silicone vaginal weights, meant to improve your kegel muscles when you use them in conjunction with doing kegels. The three pieces are different sizes and weights, with the idea being that you start with the largest and lightest piece and work your way up to the heaviest and smallest. The idea is that you should have to work harder to keep the weight inside you, but in practice, they all pretty much stayed in my body with no muscle effort on my part.
Since they're made of silicone, remember to use water-based lube only. Lube is useful for insertion, especially for the largest one. The silicone has a matte texture.
The weights are constructed with an outer shell and a free-moving weight within. You can hear them rattle if you shake them in your hand, but you can't hear them rattling when they're in your body. They say that the motion of the weights should encourage your muscles to tighten around the weight, but I'm not sure if this was true for me. I couldn't really feel them moving around at all, except when I jumped around, and even then, the sensation wasn't that noticeable. I know that some people enjoy the sensation of motion, but I didn't like it at all.
The Ami weights come in a very nice package, suitable for gift giving, but when I opened it up, I was dismayed to find a slight greasy residue on the weights. Since they're supposed to be all silicone, I was surprised to see this at all, since I've never noticed this sort of thing on any of my other silicone toys. The residue washed off, but I didn't like seeing it there. There was even a bit that had condensed onto the package. Yuck.
If you're more dedicated to exercise than I am, you may enjoy this set. Unfortunately, since I found the sensation of them inside me to be odd and not all that pleasant, I was not motivated to keep using them, and my kegels remain sadly un-toned. Ah well, maybe someday, kegels.
