The Ami has been an interesting addition to my growing collection! Small and pretty, this little gal is great for stimulating external areas such as the clitoris or nipples. I definitely do not advise using it for vaginal penetration or anal due to its design. The Ami is not waterproof and the back of the Ami is NOT meant for contact with sensitive or aroused areas due to its battery case and screw locations. The front of the little Ami however is designed for stimulation! I highly recommend giving the Ami a chance. I personally enjoyed its smooth vibrations and its sleek surface which made it comfortable and easy to direct around my body using only my fingertips. Definitely let the Ami explore! While the vibrations were not strong enough to get me to climax, the sensations it provided were pleasant and satisfying. Someone who has a more sensitive clitoris will definitely get off with the Ami. I highly recommend using this in couples foreplay or solo foreplay!
Due to its mild vibrations, I would recommend this vibrator for beginners or people looking to add a light pick-me-up to their daily pleasures.

The Petit Ami is made of Plastic. Which means it is safe, non-porous, and easy to clean. The Ami does not have any particular taste or smell, and the smooth plastic is great for stimulation without being rough on the skin. The plastic does make this toy rigid but because this toy is meant to glide over your sensitive areas, the lack of flexibility is a good thing. With a little lube added to the mix, the Ami is soft and delicate on the skin.

Did I happen to mention that it's only 3 inches wide and 2 inches long? It makes for a wonderful travel vibrator! In addition to its packable size, the Ami doesn't look like a vibrator. It has cute flower designs on the surface and, at a glance, resembles a possible make-up item. Don't worry if your little brother decides to look for chap stick in your purse, he'll have no idea what it is.

This toy is very easy to hide and easy to use with its little, one-setting button. However, I recommend finding a private place before turning her on due to the noise. The noise sounds a little like a man's electric shaver.
The small size of this vibrator also means it's not intimidating at all and very easy to handle. This is another feature that makes the Ami great for beginners! The Ami is designed to glide along your body and interact with the only body part that is designed purely for pleasure: the clit. And it does that well! Yes, the Ami can caress other parts of the body, but I found using it to stroke, circle and rub my clit to be quite enjoyable.

The petit Ami is decent for only running on one AAA battery. As I said before, she's a great foreplay helper and wonderful for creating a nice slow build-up. The Ami has one vibration setting and seems to vibrate equally around the whole toy. This does make my fingertips a little tingly while using it but I find that to be quite pleasant. This toy functions best as a mild clit vibe and should only be used for external stimulation. The single, soft button makes the Ami easy and quick to turn on and off, I just wish it had more settings! This toy is fairly noisy as I have stated already, so be careful if you have roommates or family members living with you. The Ami is not waterproof at all, so be careful not to get it too wet.

Because the Ami is 100% plastic, she is non-porous and simple to clean. The best way to clean the Ami is with a warm, wet washrag and some antibacterial soap or some isopropyl alcohol wipes. Do not put the Ami into water or get her too wet! The Ami is not waterproof.
One thing to note about the Ami is the little crease along the outside where bacteria can gather. I am always careful to run my fingernail along the crease with a little soap when I clean her. You can see the crease (and the soft power button) in the picture below.



The Ami is compatible with oil, water and silicone based lubes. I definitely recommend adding a little lube when you take Ami for a spin. I keep my Ami in her box to keep her surfaces from getting scratched or dusty, but the Ami is safe to store with other toys.

The Petit Ami was packaged in a simple plastic box that only displayed the Ami. There were no scantily clad women or indication of what the Ami is besides a little text on the box indicating that it is a "powerful, discreet, slim contour massager". The text on the box is very elegant and pretty, and the clear plastic of the front of the box allows you to see the Ami contained inside. The manufacturer, California Exotic Novelties, let me know the simple features of the Ami on the back of the box. This includes that the Ami needs a AAA battery (not included), is not waterproof, and was made in China. So right away, I knew what I was getting and could verify that the Ami is indeed discreet looking. I am currently using the box to keep my Ami from getting scratched or dirty when not in use and its a cute little addition to my toy drawer.

I want to emphasize that while this vibrator is good for beginners, those beginners should know that this vibe is mild and should not be used to judge the effectiveness of other vibrators. I know I loved the slow build-up but I can see how the mildness of the Ami could be a turn off for some. I recommend that she be used as a build up to another toy.

At first I was a little put off by the electric shaver sounds the Ami made but I decided to give her a try solo just to see. It was a very slow build-up with all the stroking, circling, pressing, and exploring of everything from clit to nipple. Eventually I had to set it aside and grab another toy of mine, but man the build-up from the Ami made it even better than if I had used that toy alone! I plan on using it with my guy tonight as a little sassy addition to our foreplay.
