If you aren't careful, the Sensual Intruder by NMC ltd may just sneak up on you and steal a few orgasms! This compact clitoral, anal, G-spot, "where-ever-it-feels-good" pocket stimulator/teaser is suitable for all users. However, I'm issuing a word of caution for beginners: it's powerful even on the very lowest setting! So if you are looking for gentle vibrations, this toy isn't for you. The Sensual Intruder is constructed of two materials: TPR, thermoplastic rubber, for the attachment heads, and plastic for the handle portion. With the exception of being slightly porous, TPR is a reasonably safe choice of material: latex-free, phthalates free, & hypo-allergenic. The packaging refers to it as being "Clinically Sophisticated", but I prefer the simpler term, "body safe". The overall feel is a smooth, soft, rubbery texture with a bit of drag, firm yet slightly flexible, and with little to no smell or taste. One thing I've noticed about TPR is that is stays relatively at room temperature, if not a bit warmer once I start to play with it.

Upon initial inspection, a few minor manufacturing discrepancies were noted, but nothing that impacted the performance of the toy. These included: visible seams and some random creasing, more than likely generated from the molding process.

The Sensual Intruder comes with two attachment heads, each just shy of 3 inches long, making the overall length approximately 6 inches long with the handle attached. The tips of these are solid, but the lower half is hollow so they can screw on to the handle. Both are slightly bendable and compress some with applied pressure, making them very agreeable to use. However, these are too small for thrusting and are only meant to titillate the erogenous areas. As it only offers 3 inches of insertable length with no substantial girth, any attempt at vaginal penetration would be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway!

The first head is made of 4 stacked, rounded, graduating cylinders, with the diameter of the largest being about 1 inch thick. It can be used anally also, but I had to keep a hold on the handle, otherwise it slipped out very easily because it's so short.

The second head has a large nub on one end, which can be used for either pinpoint clitoral stimulation or for the G-spot, and a cupped side opposite that, I'm presuming to rub over the clitoris; at least that's how I used it. The motor is located within the smooth plastic handle. Controls are triggered by a pressure activated button on the base of the handle.

Powered by two AAA batteries easily inserted in the screw-on base, the Sensual Intruder provides a surprisingly good amount of power! If, like me, you feel the need for some serious speed, this toy will deliver that and more! It offers three escalating levels of vibration, with the lowest outperforming the highest setting on many other vibrating toys that I own/have owned. In fact, for most users, low or medium may be as much as you can take, but if you are up for a challenge, turn it on high and see how long you last because it's crazy fast! Even though the motor is located in the handle, the vibrations traveled well along the TPR attachments.

The control mechanism is great. It's a small, rubbery button at the end of the handle which needs to be pressed firmly for it to cycle through the various speeds. I liked hearing an audible "click" with each press, and it isn't easy to accidentally turn it off.

Sound-wise, there's nothing but a steady humming, but no rattling of parts, etc. It's moderately loud on the highest setting, but under the covers and with the door shut, no one outside the room will be able to hear the toy itself. Good luck containing your moans though! I had to put a pillow over my face when I came with this one.

Even though the packaging states this toy is "Guaranteed Waterproof", don't go by that claim. The more detailed packaged instructions on the box state that it is safe to use in the shower or when washing it, but it should not be submerged in the bathtub or a pool.

Cleaning should be done with warm water and antibacterial soap only. No boiling or other sterilizing methods should be used. It cleans up very easily due to the limited amount of grooves and ridges. Make sure to unscrew the attachment and give the threading on the handle a little wipe too in the event any fluids leak in there.

A convenient and discreet storage solution has already been provided in the box: a lovely, faux suede, light purple, drawstring carrying pouch with ample enough room for all pieces. It can easily fit in to an overnight bag or in a purse.

The Sensual Intruder is a great alternative to a traditional corded bullet, except that you won't have to worry about a tangled cord.
