I bought this traditional viberator because of the beautiful design. Since, we can't afford a trip to Hawaii anytime soon, I thought I would bring a little Hawaii to us.
When the Hawaiian vibrator arrived, I noticed before taking it out of its package, that the designs were not as pronounced as shown in the picture. In fact, the colors (which are supposed to be an assortment of flowers) seem to be blurred and meld into each other. It was rather disappointing, since that was what attracted me to it to begin with. The best example I can give is that someone left a box of crayons out in the sun and they melted all of this vibrator. The colors of this vibrator are still pretty, they just do not scream out "Hawaii" to me.
This would make a wonderful vibrator for beginners, for its non intimidating look and size. I enjoy that the vibrations are not overwhelming for me. The high setting could be a bit much for a person not to familiar with using vibrators, but for me it was pleasurable on the highest setting.
Since, this vibrator is controled by turning a dial on the base, going from off to high, it is easily controlled. The dial does seem a little "touchy" on mine when I do finally turn it to the highest setting, it seems to only need a fraction of a hair before the setting goes back to medium.
This Hawaiian vibrator can be used easily for both couples and solo play. It also has the added benefit of being a great clitoral and nipple teaser. You could use this to tease almost any sensitive area, including male genitalia. I would not recommend this for anal play, due to the vibrator not having a flared base and it can become a little slippery if you have lubrication or massage lotion on your hands. Having these on your hands also can affect being able to turn the dial, easily.
Personally, I enjoyed the medium vibrations that this vibrator had. It was able to stimulate me both clitorial, vaginally, and when rubbed on my other sensitive areas. This vibrator is a smooth plastic, which I like from time to time, as it does not "drag or pull" on sensitive areas when the viberator is moving against it. It also makes cleaning easy, with no special crevices to keep clean. This sleek design is one of my favorites to use on a regular basis for all those reasons. The noise that the vibrator makes is another plus, it is not loud enough to be heard through a closed door or running water, for that matter.
The vibrator tapers at the end, which eases any troubles with insertion and helps be more accurate when using it for clitoral play. These are both benefits that I appreciate. The Hawaiian Vibrator is a hard plastic, so if you are not used to the material, I can imagine it would be easy to thrust to hard and possibly cause discomfort.
I love the size of this and I think it would be a good size for beginners to start with. I think that more advanced users would not be able to appreciate this, as I am sure there are vibrators bigger (in width and length) and stronger.
This vibrator has become a "staple" and is used more often than others. I love the design even though it was not what I was expecting. It is a beautiful addition to our toy collection.
