A One Way Journey
Although my journey with the voyage wasn't great, I'm certain that it has the ability to deliver a first class experience to others who prefer a smaller sized, less intense vibrator. Despite mine having a 'fatal flaw' the materials and construction are undeniably high quality.

Use
A very simple vibrator in a smaller 'mini' size that would make it perfect for beginners and very easy to pack away if you're going to be travelling. Suitable for both couples and solo play it's been designed for internal vaginal use, yet the voyage can also be used to externally stimulate all of the external erogenous zones (not safe for Anal insertion as it doesn't have a flared base).
Sadly though my Voyage had a fatal flaw that sent it straight to the bottom of my toy box (more on the fatal flaw further down under functions/performance & controls) but the quality of the materials and manufacturing are undeniably high.

Material / Texture
The Voyage is crafted from beautiful bright red silicone which comes with a 5 year material warranty. The very flexible shaft is moulded around the plastic covering of the base where all of the toys mechanics are housed. It's here where you can tell that the Voyage is a higher quality toy as the silicone covering the plastic is quite thick, yet still very soft and pliable. With some toys you can tell they've tried to save money during manufacturing by making the silicone covering the core thinner, but it's the total opposite with this one.
As you may already know silicone is possibly the best material when it comes to creating sex toys as it is hypo allergenic, phthalate free, latex free and non porous, all of which make it 100% body safe and by far my favourite sex toy material. As it isn't porous it means that it can be fully sterilised, no nasties are going to be breeding on this baby!
The silicone is soft to the touch with a matte finish. It is both sleek and smooth whilst creating just enough drag to give the user that pleasurable sensations, Just be sure to use a little extra water based lube to ensure safe and smooth use as silicone does tend to require more lube than other materials.
Rising from the base of the shaft here is a slightly raised design that has a much glossier, shiny finish, but it appears to simply be there for decorative effect and the difference in texture wasn't noticeable during use.
The flexibility and softness of the silicone shaft also combine with it's smaller stature to make it a perfect starter vibe as it is pretty hard to hurt yourself internally with this toy, no matter how excited you get. I have however noticed that it is important to keep it stored in it's storage pouch (which is provided) as it tends to pick up an awful lot of lint, something none of my other silicone toys have done.

Design / Shape / Size
The Voyage is a part of the mini vibes selection of the Joy Stick line from Joy Division, and for this wanna be size queen it's almost too teeny tiny with a total length of 5 1/2", of which 4 3/4" are insertable. It's also relatively slim line with a maximum width of approx 1" and a 4" girth which tapers off from halfway up the shaft to a smaller girth of 3 1/8" at the tip. So it's a little smaller than my go to toys but I think it could work wonders as a warm up toy and would be a great introductory vibrator for beginners and its size makes it well suited for travelling.
It's a very classically shaped vibrator that is widest at it's base, tapering off towards the tip. The base is where the motor, battery housing and control dial are located, this hard plastic casing is embedded within the bright red Silicone shaft and reaches approximately half way up the shaft. Above the mid line it is purely silicone making it both very soft as well as incredibly flexible.
The only adornment to the shaft are two slightly raised designs that remind me of the flames they paint on the sides of race cars. These flame like decorations are shinier than the rest of the silicone, but as I already mentioned it is a discreet design feature that really can't be felt during use.

Functions / Performance / Controls
Two AAA batteries power this baby which are easily inserted into their housing at the base of the toy which is accessible through its screw on cap. If you're like me and have trouble working out which way up to put the batteries in, you'll be glad to know that with the Voyage it doesn't matter! As long as each battery faces a different direction it will work. I absolutely love this feature and wish more toys were created this way.
Controlled by a simple dial located at the very base of the toy, it's simple and intuitive to use. Turn it one way to turn on and increase the intensity of the vibrations, turn it the other way to decrease them and turn the toy off. As there's no on/off switch I strongly recommend removing the batteries in between uses to prevent it accidentally being turned on, especially if you are travelling.
When it comes down to the vibrations I found them to be more buzzy surface vibrations as opposed to deeper rumbling ones. These buzzing vibes travel well right through to the tip and vary between light and a medium high intensity. I don't feel like there's much variety between the levels and there is only the one, constant pattern of vibrations. They aren't strong enough to get me off, but that may just be my personal preferences, they are however very successful for warming up and getting those juices flowing. It's got the same kind of power as a basic style bullet vibe, but the vibrations, whilst travelling well through the silicone, are severely dampened by it at the same time.
I found it to be great for thrusting, but its size and shape meant it isn't very useful for G Spot stimulation. It is also great for external stimulation of the labia as well as other erogenous areas such as the nipples, or even just slowly sliding it down your partners neck and back. For me it wasn't so great for clitoral stimulation due to the vibrations not being intense enough for me, but again that is simply personal preference and I am sure that others who like a lower level of vibrations will be able to take great pleasure from it.
As for sound levels it can't be heard through a closed door and is just audible if you are covered up by your blankets or doonah. Its low sound level and the easy to switch of dial make it suitable for those living in shared accommodation as well as those with children.
Now to the fatal flaw. The battery cap is a twist on, twist off deal. This same cap is where the twisting control is situated. The cap screws on tightly to create what I found to be a waterproof seal (Please note that the toy is labelled as being only Water resistant), but it wouldn't switch on with the cap fully closed let alone with it tightly closed. Initially I figured I'd gotten the batteries oriented incorrectly, so I tried switching them around, yet still no joy.
The only way I could get the Voyage to vibrate was with the end cap half unscrewed. As the control dial is located in the cap having it half on, half off meant that during use it would constantly switch off. Talk about kill joy! It was very difficult to use even when kept on one speed, attempting to alter the intensity of the vibrations was impossible. Every attempt to do so ended up causing the vibrations to stop. The only way I could test the range of vibration intensities was to do so by setting it to the various levels before insertion and again against my wrist.
Even if it is water resistant as the packaging says there's no way I could take this in the shower, having the end cap half unscrewed would lead to water streaming into it.
Mine may have been defective and no other reviewers have had the same issue, but for me it just killed it.

Care and Maintenance
With a shaft made of silicone the most Important thing to remember is to use only water based lubes with this vibe, other than that taking care of this toy is pretty simple.
I just wash mine with some dis-infecting soap and warm water then let it air dry, alternatively you could also use your favourite toy cleaner. If you wish to share the toy I would recommend using a diluted bleach solution to sterilise it, or you could cover it with a condom.
I have read conflicting information regarding this line of Joy Stick vibrators from Joy Division in regards to whether they are simply water resistant (according to both the companies website and the packaging) or are in fact waterproof. With the cap screwed on tightly I dunked and soaked this thing and not one single drop made it's way in, however I would recommend you stick to the manufacturer's instructions and treat it as WATER RESISTANT only.
When it comes to storage the silver drawstring pouch that comes with the Voyage is perfect for keeping it lint & fuzz free.

Packaging
It appears that they may be using the same box for all of their 'Joy Stick' line of products as both the box and the inner 'clam shell' are huge in comparison to this actual vibe and appear to be more suitable for the larger toys in the range.
The box itself is covered in information, all of which is very informative and is translated into multiple languages and although it isn't the most discreet packaging, it is far from the loudest, most in your face packaging I've seen.
Included with your new toy is a sample of 'AQUAglide', Joy Division's own water based lube and a nice silver satin drawstring bag for storing your new toy. There is also an instructional leaflet that again features multiple translations and a small brochure featuring their other products.

Personal comments
Although the Voyage didn't take me away to paradise I do think that there are people out there that will love it, especially those who are new to the world of vibrators. I wouldv'e loved to have had this ten years ago when I first started experimenting with masturbation.
Despite mine having a fatal flaw with the battery cap & control dial I have spoken with others who have also used the Voyage and am happy to say they didn't experience any issues similar to mine.
I have also noticed over the few weeks that I've been testing the Voyage that it has started to get covered in a lot of lint and other fuzz when it isn't kept in its bag, a problem I've never encountered with any of my other silicone toys.

Experience
So the battery cap issue was a fatal flaw for me and this toy, one which I'm certain could be rectified by returning it for a replacement, however the Voyage is both undersized and underpowered for my personal tastes. I feel bad writing negative things but it was a kind of negative experience.
Despite my issues with it I'm going to give it 3 stars as I know that there are people out there who it will be perfectly suited too.
And to all International Customers of Eden Fantasys I just wanted to share that it took less than 4 days for this toy to from from EF in the US all the way down under to a small country town in rural Australia. I've waited longer for locally ordered products so I am very impressed. Thank you Eden Fantasys.

Follow-up commentary
I still don't like it
4 months after original review
Due to the 'fatal flaw' with this toy I have to admit I haven't even considered trying to use it again. It is undersized and under powered for my tastes. The fact that it was so close to impossible to use mean that this toy is sitting in the back of the cupboard waiting for me to come up with a use for it!
