A bit of a disappointment
This item is just not that great. Spend your money on a similarly shaped but more powerful vibe if vibrations are important to you. If size and shape are all that matter, just get the glass version of this.

To start with, this came as a freebie with another order, so it wasn't something I set out looking for. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised as it is nearly the exact same shape and size as my favorite glass g-spot scratching dildo. I figured, "Wow, they knew what I wanted. Took one of my favorite toys and added some vibrations - what's not to love?!" until I used it...
Without the vibrations, the toy is pretty good. Great size and shape, does a good job hitting that g-spot and making your toes curl. Downside? It is short; there's not a whole lot to hold onto if you're really plunging it into your pussy.
With the vibrations, I didn't notice any change besides an audible hum. The vibrations were noticeable when I turned the vibe on, but I couldn't really feel them when I inserted the toy. Also, the control for the vibrations is the standard twist top. It's pretty easy to adjust the speed setting inadvertently when you have slippery fingers.
Given that the vibrations are a joke, I tried using it as an anal toy. Anally, I didn't notice the vibrations either. Great size and shape for anal teasing, but the material being so velvety made it weird to clean up. Clean up is typically pretty easy - just warm water and antibacterial soap. I'm very careful around the screw top. Though the toy is touted as waterproof, I don't want to chance it when washing. Never had any leaks or noticed any moisture on the inside, however.
I don't usually use this toy, and it's at the bottom of my toy box. When I do use it, there aren't batteries in it and I use it as a g-spot tickler (if I'm desperate) or for anal pleasure during vaginal intercourse (perfect for this!).

This cute little toy still doesn't get much use from me. I have a glass toy that is the same shape that I definitely prefer; just because it's harder, a little bit larger and it doesn't feel as cheap. Not worth it! There certainly are better small vibrators out there, too.

Thank you for viewing Charisma waterproof G – g-spot vibrator discontinued review page!
I wanted to know more, like what the actual material is that you refer to. And what kind of lubricant can I use? You said something about not using batteries, but for those people who want to use it as a vibrator, what kind does it take?
I would not suggest this for anal use-- you said it was smaller in size, (how big??), and there is no flared base. I'd be afraid of it slipping.
The vibe is made from plastic and feels velvety - you can use any lube you'd like on it. It also takes one AA battery and doesn't drain it too quickly (not surprising since the vibrations aren't powerful at all!).
And you are correct - without a flared base, this isn't the wisest choice for anal play. I prefer it for this purpose since it's just 1 1/8" in diameter, so it's one of my less thick toys, and the vibrations were best for me in the tip of the toy (but I got a new plug last week, so I don't plan to use this toy any more).
