Water-based lubricant
by System JO

9 volts isn't a strong enough jolt to get me off.

System Jo 9 Volt arousing tingling serum is an all natural clitoral stimulation product. It can also be used on males, nipples and internally. It doesn't contain any L-arginine, glycerin or sweeteners and can be purchased in a small bottle or a box of individual ampules. This is an oil as opposed to a gel, meant to help achieve orgasms or make them stronger. It has a strong taste and smell and will stain fabric but is fairly mild, in my opinion.

extremely useful review
9 Volt arousing tingling serum is a mild clitoral stimulation oil geared towards the more sensitive female user. It's chalk full of a ton of natural ingredients and contains no parabens, glycerine or sweetener so will not upset the delicate balance of a woman's ph and thus can be safely used internally to stimulate your G-spot. It comes in a nice package, is available in more than one size and different strengths (12VOLT and 6VOLT). It is oil based, so is compatible with most toys but not with products made of TPR silicone. I suggest checking the product pages or packaging of any toys you are unsure of including silicone because there has been some discrepancies about oil based products. Use it on your clit either to achieve a stronger orgasm, if you already reach climax easily or use it if you have difficulty cumming altogether. For males it can also be used on your frenulum or on nipples of any gender for extra warming/cooling stimulation also known as a type of temperature play.

Ingredients:
The ingredient list is as follows: Oley Alcohol, Zanthoxylum Bungeanum (Prickly Ash Bark), Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Melia Asadirachta Leaf Extract, Azadirachta Flower Extract,Coccina Indico Leaf Extract, Solanium Melongeno (Eggplant) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract, Lawsonia Inermis (Henna) Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Ocimum Basilicum (Basil) Extract, Curcuma Officinalis Extract, Simmondsia Chenensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil

To start of ALL of the ingredients are natural. Prickly Ash Bark is the hippy version of L-Argenine. It's a vessel dilator which means that it promotes blood flow to where it is topically applied. It has a similar effect to peppermint or menthol- it provides that tingle. Most of the other ingredients are herbs that have skin conditioning, emulsifying and antibacterial properties. The henna is for its light yellow/orangish colour.

Size:
I bought the .5 fluid ounces (50ml) version but it also comes in a package of 12 individual ampules totalling .17 fl oz. The bottle is a small dropper that is easy to use without dispensing too much at a time. I prefer it to the ampules because you can choose how much to use without wasting any.

Viscosity/smell/taste:
It's an oil as opposed to most clitoral stimulation products which come in gel form. The oil is fairly runny so it should be applied carefully and rubbed in immediately if you don't want it all over your entire genital region. It washes off bodies easily but has a strong herbal (think basil and other essential oils) smell that lingers and may be an acquired taste if you are using it during oral sex. Oils do stain so you don't want to get this on your clothing or sheets.

Function/strength:
9 Volt is the medium strength of this product but it also comes in weaker- 6 Volt and stronger- 12 Volt strengths. I explain this better in the experience section. It's fairly mild as far as clitoral stimulation products go. I have heard several people complain about products containing cooling or warming agents causing a burning sensation and though this oil is not as strong as many others that I have tried I would like to stress one thing. A woman's vagina is basically made of mucous membranes. These membranes absorb a heck of a lot faster than external skin which is why woman are so much more susceptible to stds. This also means we are more sensitive to topical stimulants. When our vaginas ph is off (often resulting in a yeast infection but not always) we are more sensitive to these agents. Sometimes I feel a burn, others with the same product I do not. There's a ton of stuff affecting our ph- a big one is diet. 9 volt arousing tingling serum should be okay due to the ingredients for internal or external application but try a spot test first.

Packaging/Storage
System Jo has pretty cool packaging for its Volt line. The 9 volt comes in a yellow and black box designed to resemble a battery. Inside is the small dropper bottle. It also comes in a box of 12 ampules but I prefer the dropper because you can choose how much to use and therefore won't waste any. Only one drop comes out at a time and the lid is tight. I am keeping the box because I like it so much and have an affinity for 9 volt batteries but its really unnecessary as far as storage goes. There is no expiration date though oil does goes eventually go rancid but you would be able to smell that it was off.
Experience
Well my experience with this stim oil was definitely not like those with stim gels containing L-arginine and strong mint products, as those almost always work. I was drawn to this product for a few reasons. #1, I require stimulation products to get off. #2 it was the first all natural one I was to try and at least was one with several ingredients (the JO wild simply contains silicone and peppermint which would get me nowhere) and compatible with most a toys. I was eager to try a product with a different vasodilator than L-arginine- even though I have no issues with it.
I love the packaging and the bottle was an easy enough method of dispensing. I found the oil a little runny and the smell a little hippy which reminds me of my mom but I applied liberally which I do with all of my liquid stim products. I have the type of clit that usually needs at least 4 vrooms and though my entire region is sensitive to ingredients that cause yeast infections, as long as my ph is balanced I can handle fairly strong products that others complain about burning. They usually feel fairly strong at first- very close to uncomfortable, but that usually wears off in a few minutes. This one was different. I once reviewed a stim gel on Eden that did nothing- half the tube and I swear I had zero reaction. This was better than that, I did feel a slight warming but just wasn't enough to get me off. I have a ton of pure silicone toys and was informed recently that oil based products can be used with these toys safely. Even so I chose the We-Vibe Tango instead but the 9 volt just wasn't strong enough. Usually I would have gone for the strongest formulation and I still might try the 12 volt version as not only is it supposed to be stronger but has slightly different ingredients. I haven't tried it internally- just on my clit and I will keep it around for a follow up review. Even though it didn't work for me, I would still recommend it for anyone who wants an all natural product as well as a boost to their orgasms but for those that need a product like this to cum.
Follow-up commentary
Still love the name and packaging and of course the idea of an all natural stim gel but honestly this stuff is basically useless to me. I don't feel much of anything with it, either after I apply it or when I'm ready to cum. I'm sure that it will work for some women- and please remember that the 6 varies ingredients from the 9 and the 12 volt respectively. Those with more sensitive clits might actually get something from this hippie oil, but those are the kind of women that get off on toys with a strength of 3 vrooms or less, so I doubt that they really need a stim product, but rather use it as an accessory.

Great review! I WAS curious about this lube. Thanks for including everything. I have tried all natural arousal lubes in the past and did not like them at all -- ON Arousal Lube was a nightmare, so I've been hesitant about trying any other all natural lube. Strange because normally I'm a stickler for all things all-natural. Lol. This sounds certainly worth a try.

I made a video but it's being stubborn about being uploaded. It shows the viscosity but I'll add pics if I can't get it up
