This toy is a Phthalates-free Jelly product, so it's easy to use and clean. I noticed a very subtle smell when opening, but the smell was gone after two or three washes.

Packaging was minimal. If you're giving it as a gift, you'll need to dress it up a little, but it will be a very welcome gift. The instructions were simplistic, but this toy isn't complex to use at all. VERY user friendly.
