The Wave Wand's simple design can be enjoyed by users of all experience levels. It is on the thin side, so it won't be for everyone, but this toy offers a variety of uses with its two ends. The simplicity of the shape makes this toy an excellent introduction for beginners to glass. The Wave Wand is hygienic and easy to care for, making your pleasure all the more convenient.
The Wave Wand is a glass dildo with a very simple yet effective design. The small size and uncomplicated shape make it a perfect introduction to glass. Glass is great for temperature play, so try icing it down or heating it up, as the box suggests. This toy is good for beginners and beginners to glass. The rigidity may make this toy uncomfortable for beginners to anal dildos.
The design offers a variety of uses. The thin end can be used for vaginal or anal insertion, although be careful when using the Wave Wand anally. The bulbous handle is significantly larger than the wand, but make sure you have a good grip because the base isn't flared, nor is it a proper handle. For vaginal insertion, the bulbous end can also be used. It provides firm g-spot stimulation that you may not be able to get with the thinner end.
The waves on the thin end provide light g-spot stimulation. The thinner end is also great for thrusting. The slight waves feel great, and the texture is not overwhelming in any way. Glass is a very hard material, so be careful not to thrust too vigorously and bruise your cervix. If you are using this on your partner, be careful not to hurt them, especially if you are new to using toys with a partner. Couples who are new to using toys together may want to try something more flexible and forgiving as a first toy. Couples can also use this during sex for double penetration as long as you don't find that the bulb gets in the way.
The Wave Wand has the additional use that it can be used for kegel exercises. It is not for beginners to kegels, as the wand is rather heavy (0.5 lbs.), but very experienced users can get a good workout from it. The Wave Wand is almost impossible to hold in, so make sure that there is something there to catch it or break its landing.
The Wave Wand is made of clear, tempered glass. Tempered glass is a relatively strong glass, although you should still avoid dropping this toy. If this toy breaks, it will break into larger pieces rather than shattering into tiny shards. Check for any cracks or scratches when you first receive the toy, as these imperfections make the toy more susceptible to breaking. Mine came out of the package with no visible imperfections. The material has no smell or taste, even right after being taken out of the box.
Tempered glass is a 10 on the Eden material safety scale. It is nonporous and able to be sterilized. With proper care, this toy should not pose a safety risk.
The glass is smooth and has very little drag. Lube isn't necessary, but you can use lube for an extra slippery experience.
The Wave Wand is a relatively plain in appearance. It is clear glass with no designs. Although the toy isn't realistic, it also isn't discreet. If anybody sees it, they will probably be able to guess what its function is.
The Wave wand is 7" long with an insertable length of 5.5". As I mentioned in the Use section, both ends can be used for vaginal insertion. There are three small swells and a bulb at the end. These swells provide light g-spot stimulation. The thin end has a circumference of 3.25". This may be too thin for many people, but it is perfect if you are on the smaller side. The small circumference of this and straight shaft toy makes this toy a great option for beginners to insertion. The bulb on the end has a circumference of about 5", which could provide the girth that some people may need for g-spot stimulation.
This toy is not very travel friendly. Its appearance isn't discreet, and the glass could break while being stored in luggage and moved around.
The best thing about this toy is the variety of uses. The waves feel fantastic during thrusting. They are large enough to be felt, but not so large that they will be unpleasant to those who don't enjoy a lot of texture. The waves are very subtle and gradual, so you won't feel a "popping" sensation as they move in and out. The bulb provides excellent g-spot stimulation over a large area.
This toy is very easy to hold onto, even when wet. You don't need to worry about it slipping out of your hands during use, even in water. Due to the lack of mechanical components, this toy is completely waterproof.
This toy is very easy to clean. There aren't any seams or ridges that are hard to clean. Glass is nonporous. It can be cleaned with toy cleaner or soap and warm water. To sanitize this toy, use a ten percent bleach solution or boil it in a pot of water. If you choose to boil this toy, put it in the water before you begin heating the water. Throwing the toy into water that is already boiling can cause cracks in the glass. Because this toy is able to be sanitized, it can be shared between various partners or orifices, but it is always safest to use a condom on a toy that you are sharing with other people.
I would suggest storing the Wave Wand in a padded pouch. Unfortunately, the wand does not come with a pouch, so you may have to buy one.
The Wave Wand comes in a 10.75" x 3.25" x 3.75" cardboard box with plastic display window in the front. The box opens at the top, with the plastic portion of the box opening underneath it. Be careful when opening the box so that the plastic doesn't scratch your fingers. The toy is secured with Styrofoam and a single twist tie. This packaging keeps it very safe from damage.
Unfortunately, the box is not discreet at all. Aside from the plastic window which clearly displays the toy, the wording on the box describes exactly what the product is, with phrases like "glass massager," "unique hand sculpted dong," and "sexy shivers and hot sensations." There are no images on the box. The box does have some information about design, suggestions for use, and material safety. I would not recommend this packaging for storage. It isn’t discreet at all and getting the toy in and out of the Styrofoam with each use isn’t very convenient. Instructions are not included.
This packaging is not ideal to give as a gift. First, the packaging could be kind of embarrassing. Second, the box isn't a good shape to wrap. There is a cardboard tab on the top so that the product can be hung on a shelf, and this tab keeps the box from being a rectangle.
While I enjoy this toy and I think that many people would absolutely love it, the Wave Wand isn't perfect for me. I thought that I would like the smaller size of this, as larger toys can be painful for me, but I found that this was a little bit too small. I really enjoy thrusting with this toy, although it doesn't supply the stronger g-spot stimulation that I prefer. I tried the bulbous end to solve this, but that didn't quite work either. While it did provide the stimulation I needed, insertion was painful, even with lube. I think this is because spherical shape of the bulb can a bit awkward to insert. The circumference of the bulb is too big to be comfortable for me.
If you're like me and like g-spot stimulation but prefer a smaller toy, I would recommend a thinner toy with a bent end instead. The Wave Wand is a nice addition to my collection, but it won't become my go-to toy.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it4 months after original review
While the Wave Wand has yet to blow my mind, it has grown on me a bit. I've found an angle that makes the sensation of the bulbs a bit more noticeable and pleasurable. Overall, my feelings are about the same as before: this toy isn't perfect, but it does the job.

LOL about the wording on the package. I absolutely hate the word "dong!" LOL. It drives me insane to see toys with that name.
Fab review, by the way! Sounds like you and I have similar preferences as I always have trouble with blunt-ended toys if they're too large. I haven't exactly been interested in this one too much since I just don't think it has enough texture or bulging for me. I recently reviewed the Bubble Thriller and used this as a comparison, but Bubble wasn't that great for me either. I prefer intense texture or bulging like the Pink Passion Wand.
Thanks for sharing. I really appreciated that you took time to include what you personally liked and disliked about this. It sounds like it's something I'd have trouble inserting too. Better luck next time I suppose.
