Violet Wonder from SSA Glass is a double ended dildo that's like having two toys in one. Each end offers a different type of stimulation and should satisfy a wide range of users. Great for vaginal use, this toy provides excellent stimulation. The smaller end is great for a more targeted session, while the larger, bulbous end is great for thrusting. There's no curve to the piece, so it might to be able to stimulate the G-spot in a direct way.

Violet Wonder is made from Pyrex Glass which is the brand name for borosilicate glass. This name is probably familiar to most because it's often used for glass bakeware. This safe material is hypo-allergenic, made from food-grade material, is latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free. There's not much to be concerned about as far as breaking this piece. If it were to break it would either snap or break into chunks rather than splintering pieces.

Being glass, the toy is very rigid. There are no moving parts and there's no give to the material. The surface is very smooth, being that it's glass, and glides easily over the skin. The only time it creates any type of drag is if your hands or body are damp (like after a washing them or taking a shower) or clammy (after sweating). If this is an issue, you can easily relieve it by using a lubricant.

Each end of the piece features different, and interesting textures. One end is smaller and looks like the glass is twisted. This end feels lightly ribbed during use. It also has a smaller tip that offers more pin-point stimulation, no matter how you're using it. The opposite end is made up of four bubbles. These bubbles provide a great popping sensation while you're trusting.


The texture, while stimulating, shouldn't be overwhelming to the average user. If you're someone that prefers completely smooth toys, this probably won't be right for you. There was no scent to this piece when it first arrived, and haven't picked up a scent since.

It won't always have the same coloring to it, so be aware that it will look more dull at times.


The design of this toy is wonderful since it provides you with such different ends on the same piece. It's an attractive piece to look at, while remaining functional and easy to use.

The screw end is 2 1/4" long and is roughly 1" in diameter apart from the tip which is 3/4". This side is much more reasonable for a beginner to start off with, but is also more heavily textured. Since it's so thin, it shouldn't be overly stimulating unless you're very sensitive to textures.

The bulbous end starts off at 1 1/2" in diameter, and the three bubbles that follow it are 1 3/8". It only slightly narrows from the first, and the change is hardly noticeable during use. The overall size is 6 3/4" (a whole inch less than what's displayed on Eden, leaving 4 1/5" making up the bubbled area.


The size should be suitable for most users, though the bulbous end might be a little difficult for a total beginner to insert. If you find you're having troubles, start with the thinner end until you're able to work your way up. Size queens will be highly disappointed, but the average user should find this to be a nice size.

Compared to a lot of glass pieces, this one is sized a little bit better for travel. It could fit inside a purse, backpack, suitcase, etc. without taking up too much room, but you do need to use extra caution. Though this glass is less likely to break than most, you still want to keep it protected, especially against surface damage. It would be wise to invest in a padded pouch for travel, especially if it's going to be placed against something else that is rigid.

Though the design of this toy doesn't exactly scream that it's a sex toy, you couldn't really pass it off as art. Someone might believe that it's a massage tool, but I would doubt they would think it's something outside of those two options. Since it's not realistic in any way, it would be far less embarrassing if someone were to see it in your suitcase during travel, or even if you left it out at home.

The shape of this toy really makes it shine and sets it apart from other glass pieces. Because you have one broad end and one that comes to more of a point, using this during a massage is where it really shines. It works really well when paired up with a massage oil and provides deep and even massages.

For sexual purposes, it also does well. Both ends are stimulating in their own unique ways and are sure to provide the user with a least a little something that will work for them. The bulbous end is much easier to hold onto while you're playing, but that shouldn't keep you from inserting that end first.

Glass is really simple to clean and care for. After each use, make sure you wash it with antibacterial soap and warm water or your favorite sex toy cleaner. Make sure you really clean the grooves in the screw area well since bodily fluids and lube can get trapped in those areas. Buying a toothbrush that's strictly for toy cleaning would be a wise idea for this and other textured pieces.

If you're planning on sharing this toy with someone else, you need to make sure you fully sterilize it prior to switching. You can use a 10% bleach solution, clean it with isopropyl alcohol, and can even put it on the top rack of your dishwasher.

Because this toy is made from glass, it's compatible with all lubricant types. Make sure you avoid using an oil-based lube if you're using it vaginally, but feel free to use any kind if you're using it for massage purposes.

This material doesn't have a poor reaction to any lube or material type so there's no concern about your toys being too close together. However, you do want to keep this in its own pouch to avoid surface damage and use caution when storing it will other rigid materials, especially other glass toys.

This toy arrives rolled up in bubble wrap and inside a red velvet bag. The bag is very thin and closes with a black drawstring. The pouch only protects against surface damage since it's not padded in any way. The bubble wrap can be used until all the air is gone and you can then recycle it, or you can recycle it right away. If you decide to invest in a padded pouch for this piece, the included pouch could be used for another toy of similar size.


There were no instructions included with the toy and there's no marking on the toy or pouch that even state the company name on them. Some care instructions would be nice, but they aren't entirely necessary.

This glass piece really interested me. I loved the look of both ends and couldn't wait to try it out. The bulbous end was great for providing that popping sensation that so many of us love, and the twisted end impressed me when it came to massage use.

I don't love this toy for vaginal play as I have other bulbous toys that I use over this one. However, the way this works for massage is amazing and I love that it provides two great sensations in one piece.
