I tried using it the way it is supposed to be used, but I found that the bulb is not comfortable and felt like it was going to slip out. It didn't feel stable at all. It didn't offer a lot of control as it tended to "flap." I now use it as a regular hand-held dildo. The bulb is now a nice handle. It was great to use it in the shower because it made the angle easier (my partner was standing up, which generally makes for an awkward angle).

It is made of silicone, which is a great material for toys, in my opinion. It is easy to wash (I haven't tried washing it in the dishwasher as suggested). I wash it with hot water and soap.
