I just had to give this a try. I hear so much about it and how amazing it is, so me being a copycat I had to give it ago. I’m very glad that I did. Caring for the Amethyst is very easy because it’s made out of glass. The Amethyst can be boiled for about three minutes on your stove top. You just need to add a couple of drops, and it will take you a long way. The Amethyst doesn’t collect too much lint and dust, but it does pick up small particles. You should wipe it down a little before using it if needed. Fluids don't make the Amethyst hard to clean because it is glass, and everything just rinses off of it.

When it comes to storing it, you can use the storage pouch that it comes with. If you have a better pouch, you can always use that. The one that it comes with doesn’t offer too much protection. It is enough if you don’t move your Amethyst around too much. I decided to get another pouch because I’m not crazy about the one provided. You should keep it from high places so that it can’t mistakenly fall and possibly break. You shouldn’t keep it loose with other glass toys because they can bang against each other and chip or even break.

The Amethyst comes inside of the normal SSA red, thin pouch. The pouch doesn’t offer too much protection, but it’s enough for people who are extremely careful with their toys. The Amethyst is also wrapped in bubble wrap so that adds a little more protection. The pouch that it comes in has a drawstring, so it will keep your toy from falling out. If you are worried that it isn't, I've noticed you can put a little knot in it. That will keep it shut.

I’m nuts about the Amethyst. It’s near the top when listing my favorite G-spot glass toys. It still has not beat out my Icicles No. 32 because I can give my boyfriend full control over that one. He can reach my G-spot with that one. With the Amethyst, he wasn’t quite able to reach it. We have not given up on the idea that it could happen though. I tend to feel like the Amethyst is good for both partner and solo use. I personally use it on my own. It's just more fun to me that way, and when I'm alone I can take my time.
