This Very Important Penis is always welcome

The VIP Supersoft is a new take on the original that is squishier and more flexible. Made entirely of the softer silicone used for the outer layer of the Tantus O2 line, the Supersoft material is body-safe, easy to clean, and durable if properly cared for. This dildo actually inspired me to get a harness; with the Supersoft strapped on, my partner and I had a great time swapping roles for the night. The Supersoft does have some cosmetic issues, but nothing that interferes with performance.

extremely useful review
The Tantus VIP Supersoft is a new version of the VIP. The original VIP is a realistic dildo with balls and a very pronounced curve. Though realistic in shape and size, the VIP was not available in skin tones and was considered overly-firm. To answer consumers’ requests for a softer and more-realistic version, Tantus came up with the VIP Supersoft. Instead of being cast in firm Tantus silicone, the Supersoft is instead made entirely of the squishy silicone that is the outer layer of the dual-density O2 line. Unlike the O2 line, the VIP Supersoft does not have a firm inner core. The result is a dildo that is super squishy and flexible, and that has all the benefits of 100% silicone construction.

Hands-on
Due to the very squishy and flexible nature of the Supersoft, it is honestly hard to keep one’s hands off of it. Squeezing the shaft between thumb and forefinger, it compresses to half its diameter. The balls are just as squishy. The shaft’s dramatic curve makes it fun to bat around when it’s resting on the desk next to me. Pull back and release the shaft and it will wobble for a good 5-10 seconds, pure amusement. The Supersoft is the “bobble-head” of cocks.

For how soft the material is, it is not at all sticky, except for the bottom of the base. The majority of the surfaces are matte finish which is smooth to the touch with moderate drag. The bottom of the base, however, is glossy and will stick to hair and dust. I would store my toy in a dust-free area to keep the base lint-free and ready to play.

There are a couple of details that subtract from my opinion of the Supersoft. First, when the toy first arrived, it was somewhat oily. The Supersoft material is chemically crosslinked to a lesser extent than firmer silicones, which could cause the silicone oil in the material to seep to the exterior surfaces of the toy. Dish soap and warm water cleaned it up, but after handing the toy for the review, I could feel some silicone oil on my fingertips. My toy also had a couple of cosmetic flaws, such a few very small bubbles on the surface of the shaft and color patches on the balls. I imagine this is due to the unique challenges of working with a much softer silicone, as none of my other silicone toys from Tantus have cosmetic defects.

The VIP I received is the caramel color. It is a slightly different shade than what displays on my monitor. There is less red in the pigment, which causes the toy to be more of a grayish tan. In my opinion Vixen’s caramel tone looks more natural. However, your mileage may vary as toy pigmentation has natural variance and what looks like skin-tone to me may look less realistic to someone else.

Care and Cleaning
Because the Supersoft is silicone-based, the usual silicone rules apply. Avoid silicone lubes, especially since the softer silicone is more vulnerable to reactions with the ingredients of silicone lubes. Water and oil-based lubes are compatible with the material. Since the material is non-porous it can be sterilized by several methods. You can dip the VIP Supersoft in a 10% bleach solution, boil for 5 minutes on the stove, or place in the dishwasher (without detergent). In the event you would like to share the toy without taking the time for sterilization, you can cover it with a condom. I would advise using non-lubricated condoms since lubricated condoms are usually coated with a silicone-based formulation, which could damage the Supersoft.

For storage, I keep the Supersoft upright in my toy cabinet. It could also be stored in the packaging provided by Tantus. I would recommend against throwing the toy in a drawer, as the soft material could retain marks from objects that are pressing into it. Additionally, on the chance that the Supersoft material does have some silicone oil on the surface, it could damage silicone-blend materials, such as some types of TPR.

Packaging
The VIP Supersoft comes in Tantus’s plastic shell packaging. The clear plastic shows the toy inside; if you’re gifting the Supersoft, you may want to wrap it so maintain the element of surprise. The print on the packaging provides plenty of information about Tantus and their dedication to quality and safe material; however for useage and cleaning instructions, the print directs you to the Tantus website. Since the inside of the packaging is molded to hold the VIP, it is nice for storage. If I were only occasionally using the toy and keeping it hidden I would store it in the packaging. However, I’ve been using the Supersoft regularly, so I keep it easily accessible in my nightstand/toy cabinet.
Experience
General
The Supersoft’s lack of rigidity changes the experience. Users will likely notice that it’s somewhat harder to guide in. For both anal (me receiving) and vaginal (my partner receiving) it took two hands to initially insert the VIP: one hand on the base, and one steadying the shaft. I really liked the size of the VIP, large enough to be filling, but not so big as to require extensive warm-up. The squishiness of the Supersoft helped my partner, who had difficulty with harder toys of the same diameter. I really appreciated the lack of texture on the shaft, which makes intense anal thrusting a lot more comfortable. The Supersoft material does have more drag than most silicone formulations. I found that for anal, I had to reapply lube more often.

Use with a Harness
The curve of the original VIP combined with its large balls-style base makes it a popular harness dildo. When I was assigned the VIP Supersoft, I thought “how could I do this review justice without assessing its strap-on performance?!” I finally had the impetus I needed to purchase something I’ve long been lusting for: the SpareParts Joque harness.

Getting the Supersoft inserted into the Joque’s O-ring took some effort, since when you push hard on the base, the shaft squishes in and increases in diameter (think about working with an inflated balloon). It works best to instead gradually wiggle the O-ring down the shaft. Once in the harness, the Supersoft is quite remarkable. The curve droops due to the material’s softness, but the resulting moderate curve is more realistic.

When worn by my partner, the Supersoft was completely irresistible, and I couldn’t fight the urge to blow her. This came as a surprise to me, since I hadn’t previously had such an impulse. It turns out the VIP Supersoft is an awesome cock to suck. The flexibility of the shaft allows it to contour the inside of my mouth, rather than just jabbing me in one spot or another. Great for the inexperienced blower. When my partner started really getting into it and lightly trusting, the Supersoft’s flexibility made it completely comfortable. Though the shaft isn’t textured, the head has a nice ridge and a very realistic frenulum. This made it easy to focus my attention on the head, giving her an excellent visual. As with other uses, the material had some drag, but the addition of a flavored lube eliminated the issue for oral.

For penetration, the Supersoft required an extra hand initially to guide the head in; but once inserted, it was hands-free. Considering both of us are new to pegging, the Supersoft performed quite well: the flexibility allowed all angles of penetration to work, and I never had an “ouch” moment. The only complication was that during in-and-out thrusting, my ass occasionally squeezed the Supersoft out during the outstroke, and we had to take a moment to get it back in. Firmer silicone toys didn’t have this problem when we tried them later.
