The versatility of the Slim is among its greatest features. It appeals both vaginal and anal use. It's flared base allows it to fit perfectly into a harness and is completely anal safe. Couples looking to start pegging will appreciate the simple unrealistic design. The unthreatening size and shape are beginner friendly. Advanced toy users will also be able to appreciate its thrusting capabilities for more active play.

Women suffering from vaginismus may find this a useful dilator in treatment efforts. While it's not the smallest of dildos, it can aid in working up to larger sizes.

Its small size will suit just about anyone, whether male or female. It can be safely shared between partners and orifices by way of easily sanitized material.

For solo play or with a partner, the Slim travels well and will surely satisfy in whatever situation it finds itself in.

The Slim is made of silicone. It is among the most body safe materials for sex toys. Silicone is rated a perfect 10 on Eden's safety scale. Slim is non-porous and hypoallergenic. It can be used without worry of harmful phthalates or latex allergies as it contains neither. Nowhere has it been stated to be 100% silicone. However, upon cautious flame-testing, it did melt a little, though not as severely as other silicone frauds.



The silicone is of quality and accurate in its description.

The silicone is quite dense and firm while still enabling it to have some give. The tip is only slightly firmer than the rest of the shaft. This is barely noticeable. Slim is flexible but holds its shape well. When bent it will spring back up to its original form when released.

The Slim has a lot of drag. Rather than gliding against the skin, Slim will stick and pull it. A good thick water based lube will be absolutely essential.

It is said to feel realistic and "amazingly life-like" but it does not. The substantial form and consuming drag are a far cry from realistic feeling dildos currently on the market.

Slim is aesthetically appealing. The are no seams and the slick surface and shape are inviting. There is absolutely no texture with the exception of the Doc Johnson stamp in the edge of the base. This stamp is deep and may require some extra attention when cleaning.


The smooth untextured surface is perfect for beginners and divine for fast, hard thrusting.

This silicone makes for major lint hogging. It will grab any and all lint, dust or pet fur in its vicinity and won't let go. It is magically magnetic and highly frustrating.

The Slim had no detectable smell or taste; this is a testament to the silicone material.

The Slim is slender, as its name would suggest, with no texture whatsoever. It is not particularly unique in its shape or design.

The shape is evidently similar to the Tantus Silk series. Overall, Slim is larger than the small Silk in every aspect.


As taken from other reviewers measurements, Slim is not quite as thick as the medium Silk. Whereas the medium silk has a diameter of 1.25", the Slim is roughly 1" wide. I do not own the medium Silk and since the measurements seem to differ greatly across the various reviews and product page, I am unable to compare the two further. The Slim seems to be firmer than the Tantus Silks. Its base is thick and solid and the flexibility is countered by denser silicone. The base is just under 2.5" wide.

Slim is 3.5" circumference at the head and tapers to 3.25" circumference at the base. Some other measurements are depicted in the image below.


Slim is best suited for beginners to vaginal penetration or those who prefer thinner toys. As an anal dildo, it is a great fit for beginner to intermediate players.


The base is flexible yet sturdy. It functions as a useful handle for hand-held maneuvering but it can also be used in a harness. The slender shaft allows for versatility in use for either vaginal or anal satisfaction. The slightly curved tip can stimulate the g-spot or p-spot provided that a drastic curve is not needed to reach. The smooth, rounded head make insertion a breeze.

It looks realistic enough to be recognized as a sex toy, albeit not in its classification. The brightly coloured and lack of phallic design make this an unrealistic dildo.

Being that Slim is not very weighty, not only will it save wrists from cramping up but it is a great, low maintenance toy for travel.

While the base does not function as a suction cup, it is harness compatible. Sadly, our harness has been held up at customs and we are still waiting on its arrival. I do anticipate a successful harness experience with the Slim. The curve is maintained when held vertically and the thick base appears to be well suited for this purpose. I will be sure to include exactly how it performs in a harness in a follow-up.

The base is slightly flexible but it will not buckle or fold enough to be pulled out from any o-ring. The flexibility of the shaft is useful for carefree thrusting but it does not allow for any pressure on the g-spot or p-spot.

Silicone is meant to retain heat which can provide different, thrilling sensations. Note this should never be accomplished by boiling. Simply run it under warm water or place it in a bowl of warm water. Sadly, by way of heat retention, the Slim falls incredibly short. It heats up easily but the warmth dissipates within seconds.

The lack of a motor may be a con for some but this means Slim can be taken anywhere. Its uses are not limited to dry land. For bath or shower time fun, any waterproof clitoral vibrator can be brought along for some extra stimulation.

When holding a vibrator against the base of the Slim, the vibrations will travel down the shaft well enough due to the density of the silicone. However, they are significantly weaker, even more so when the Slim is inserted.

Caring for the Slim is quick and easy. The silicone can be completely sanitized by rubbing it down with a 10 percent bleach solution or by boiling it for 3 minutes. It can also be placed in the top rack of a dishwasher. For everyday perfunctory washes, mild antibacterial soap and warm water will do, as will toys cleaners and wipes.

Be sure to fully sanitize Slim between anal and vaginal use and when sharing so as not to introduce or spread infection. A condom or toy cover could just as easily be used to cover it. However, it will be important to change it between users and orifices.

Slim would behoof from a quick rinse before each use, at the very least, due to its inordinate predilection for lint and such.

In order to effectively cater to the Slim's needs, only water based lubes should be used. A siliconed based lubricant can cause the material to react and melt. Similarly, Slim must be stored away from other silicone toys. It will be happiest if kept in it's own toy pouch, bag or wherever it won't be in contact with others like it. I store mine in its package for now to keep lint and dust from settling on it.

The Slim is encased in a large clear plastic clamshell package. The toy is clearly visible so it's not expressly discreet. Though tasteful and free of nude graphics, it may not be the best for gifting due to the explicit visual of the toy.

The front of the paper insert has the product and company name written across the top. The back lists some basic specs such as cleaning, uses, material and compatibilities and company contact information. There are no other instructions included aside from what is printed on the insert. However, the information provided on the insert is adequate and further instructions are unnecessary.

The packaging works well enough for storage, though a little bulky. Should the Slim find a better hideout than its original home, the packaging can be tossed in the recycling.

Platinum is just the catalyst used in making body-safe silicones. Unfortunately, we have already borne witness to false claims of pure silicone. As such there is no way of knowing what other chemicals were added or that the manufacturing process was any better. The affirmation of "platinum" silicone can be seen as operating under the same title of pure medical grade silicone. While the friendly folks at Doc Johnson have omitted the promotion of "100%" silicone, this can be somewhat misleading.

As someone who prefers thinner toys, I was excited to receive the Slim for assignment. We had been experimenting with anal play and while I am still at the most elementary level, my partner is of intermediate standing. We were in the process of selecting our first harness when I placed my order with the Slim. My partner promptly placed his harness-containing order in the hopes that we would receive our packages together. As mentioned above, this was not the case and we are both cursing customs standards. Although we have not had the chance to take the Slim for a run in the harness, I enjoyed it vaginally and my partner can vouch for it anally.

As a short aside, the name may be somewhat deceiving. There are many a dildo out there that are smaller for anal introduction, though this one works decently for that purpose. This one would be best if thought of as a slim vaginal dildo. I only say this so as not to confuse the actual size of this toy.

Now, on to the good stuff.

I thoroughly enjoyed the size of this toy and my partner did as well. It was fun in that my partner could use this on me without worrying about hitting my cervix or causing me any pain while zealously thrusting it in me. He often gets very enthusiastic when using my toys on me so he enjoyed the freedom this toy granted him.

When paired with my favorite clit vibe, the Slim proved to be easy and efficient for solo use.

I would not recommend this for g-spotting. Though I don't need a sharp curve to access my g-spot, I was left wanting a lot more pressure. I have never had a g-spot orgasm but I surely won't achieve one with the Slim.

Similarly, it did not give enough pressure for my partners p-spot. It was difficult for me to find his p-spot as Slim is long enough to reach it and way beyond. However, he did like the stimulation and the thrusting that was made easy by Slims lack of texture.

Unfortunately, I have to keep reapplying lube while using Slim due to the amount of drag the silicone has. This is likely in part due to the thin consistency of our lube, but it was a bit distracting.

Neither my partner or I had absolutely stellar responses to the Slim. For what it is though, we did appreciate the experiences we had with it. We are still very excited to get this mounted in our harness.

All in all, this is a great addition to anyones toy box. The gender-neutral design and safe material allows for versatility and compatibility with many different types of people. Texture fanatics take note; don't shy away from this one. The active play that it allows makes up for its lack of texture.
