The One by Doc Johnson is a strap-on compatible dildo. The One is curved for G-spot or P-spot stimulation. It can be used by males and females alike for vaginal or anal penetration. Since it is o-ring compatible it can be used in a strap-on harness for pegging. It has a large flared base that makes it perfectly safe for anal play with or without a harness. Made from silicone it is a safe option for sharing between partners or orifices. The One is also completely waterproof for fun wherever you wish to play.

The One is made from silicone which scores a perfect 10 on the Eden Fantasys' safety sale. Doc Johnson markets the silicone that The One is made from as premium platinum-grade silicone, meaning that it is medical grade platinum based silicone, it just hasn't been produced in a sterile white room so it cannot have an FDA-medical grade approval stamp. It is still a very high-quality material. Silicone is non-porous, hypo-allergenic, latex and phthalates free. The One had no odor or taste to it either. Silicone retains heat well and The One can be warmed up to body temperature before use by soaking in a glass of warm water, it will also warm up to body temperature during use fairly quickly. The silicone that The One is made from does have quite a bit of drag associated with it when rubbed against bare skin, this can be combated by used water-based lube. As the material is slightly tacky when un-lubed The One attracts lint and pet hair very well. The One is fairly firm but does have a bit of squish and flexibility to it.


The texture on The One is unlike any of my other toys, it is like the diameter of the toy increases and decreases in steps. It is noticeable but not too extreme that those who are sensitive to texture or new to it will find it unappealing. Other than the step-wise increase and decrease in width of the toy the material is smooth.

The One is designed to be a harness compatible G-spot dildo. There is a large flat flared base at the bottom of the toy that helps to stabilize the toy in a harness, the base is 2.5 inches wide and 1/3 of an inch tall. Overall the dildo is 6.25 inches long with an insertable length of 5.5 inches. The tip of The One is curved for G-spot or P-spot stimulation. The One is 4.25 inches in circumference at the tip of the toy, that increases to 4.75 inches in circumference right after the G-spot curve. The toy then narrows about midway down the shaft to 4 inches in circumference for about 1 inch, then steps back to 4.75 inches in circumference for another 1.5 inches before it narrows again before the base.


The One is not realistic looking, but it is not exactly discreet either. While it does not look like a penis outright, anyone who stumbles across it will probably be able to guess its use.

The One can be used multiple ways. For vaginal use I have found that the base of the toy works well for getting a good gripe on the toy and thrusting. The base also makes it safe to use the toy anally. The One is a good size, not too girthy to be uncomfortable, yet large enough to get a really great full filling when using the toy. I also have found the G-spot curve on the toy to be quite effective.

The One is harness compatible for those who like to play with strap-ons. The base of the toy is flat to lay up against the wearer, and as The One is fairly firm it will stay firm and upright when worn in a harness.

As there are no batteries or electrical parts, not only do you never have to worry about being charged up and ready to play, but The One is also 100% waterproof and can be used wherever you like to play.

The One is very easy to clean and take care of. To clean you can use warm water and anti-bacterial soap, soak it in a 10% bleach solution, use your favorite toy wipes, boil, or even run it through the dishwasher. As it is non-porous with proper cleaning it can be safely sanitized and shared between partners or used both vaginally and anally.

The One is very good at collecting lint, dust and pet hair. You will want to store it somewhere protected so they it does get too furry between uses. You are also going to want to store it separate from any jelly or other soft toys you have to keep them from melting onto The One during storage.

The One is only compatible with water-based lubes. Using silicone-based lubes with a silicone toy could be disastrous, as the silicone in the lube could bind with the silicone of the toy and make the toy's surface permanently tacky.

The One came packaged in a plastic clam shell. The front of the package shows the toy and states that it is premium platinum silicone, phthalate free, and made in the USA. The back of the packaging has even more details on the product. The packaging is 12.5 inches long, so it can be kind of bulky to keep around for storage as it is quite a bit larger than the toy itself. It is also not discreet as you can clearly see the toy through the package.

Personally I got The One to use in my Liberator Pulse. I have tried many of my toys in the Pulse and have found that most of my toys sink down too far into the toy mount hole and end up being a little too short for getting a really nice full feeling. Since the Pulse is compatible with harness-compatible flange based toys I decided to try a strap-on dildo in it. The One's base fit perfectly into the channels on the toy mount of the Pulse and stayed upright and in position during use. It has been the perfect toy for Pulse use.
