The little cupcake that couldn't
This is a toy that looks fantastic and has a good size. If they remove the row of nubs around the head it would be a must buy, until then, expect a bit more pain that you are used to for the size.

Opening and Design Impressions
I was excited about this toy, we had just purchased the honey wand the week before and were VERY pleased with it's smooth shape and G-Spotting abilities. This being our second glass toy we wanted to try something a little different, and as we like girthier toys this seemed to fit the bill. It came packaged in one of EF's awesome bags, and nothing else to speak of. The bag has a bit of padding and is great for storage of glass.
My first comment was that it looks like a cupcake on the top.
It's not overly heavy, but the girthy end has a little weight to it, when we took it out of the box it was shorter than we expected. The small end is smaller than most other glass toys, but the large end is bigger than most other glass toys available on EF. On the large end of the toy is a raised spiral shape and a few rows of bumps that circle the toy. The bumps make it look sort of like a medieval mace. Cool. The color is a pretty boring pink actually, SSA does some cool stuff with glass colors on their other toys, why did the double dare get left out?
Material, Safety, and Cleaning
The dildo is 100% glass, and sterilizeable. You can clean it with soap and water, toy cleaner, alcohol, boiling water, or on the top rack of the dishwasher. Short of something you stole from a chemistry lab, no cleaner will harm this toy, just make sure that what you use is body safe.
This toy can be shared amongst partners if properly sterilized, I would recommend boiling for 5 minutes in water and then using an alcohol to wipe down afterward. When boiling, be sure to put the toy in the water when the water is room temp, boil it, and then let it cool before removing it, rapid swings in temperature can easily crack glass.
Normal cleaning on this toy is a chore though. Because of all the little bumps it requires a bunch of rubbing and scrubbing to remove lube and other fluids. If you have time and patience, go the dishwasher route.
Dimensions and Shape
The top looks like the top of a cupcake, and its kind if an evil cupcake. The toy means well, and looks innocent what with the pink color and all. But it has a couple of drawbacks.
The head is LARGE, and then tapers down to a tiny little handle. Around the head are a series of little glass bumps and long, stringy glass 'spirals'. We wanted something that was glass and on the larger side, and the size is definitely ok, but somebody for some reason decided to put a row of bumpys right at the biggest point of the head. Which means that no matter how you use this toy, the little bumps provide a bit of a grabbing/ripping sensation if you try to thrust the toy in and out. The bumps start and end far too quickly, if they were larger in circumference, it might soften the grabbing sensation. The handle end can be used for stimulation too but it's short and there is no texture. So let's face it, if your hole of choice can take the big end, the little end is not going to do much for you.
The construction is solid without and visible seams or bubbles in the glass. Overall it's a great shape in theory.

Experience
Now for the bread and butter:
Vaginal
Hubby grabbed some lube, ran the toy under some warm water to heat it and we got warmed up with the Honey Wand, which is a little smaller. Since the large end has a bit of a swirl he started by applying some light pressure and twirling/juicing the toy. The combination of the warmth and the bumps on the top of the toy were very fantastic on my outer lips. More like a massage than something erotic though. After I relaxed and got into the toy we started thrusting it slowly in. I could feel it stretching me and could tell that getting past the big head was going to be tough. I did not know how tough however. Though I can take toys as big as Rambone and BAM on a special night, the bumps around the widest part of this toy were painful. Not a good stretching pain, but kind of awkward shooting pain. Because of the bumps, thrusting was all but impossible, even once inside, the handle end of this toy was just too short for a good deep thrust. I like toys that can be quickly pulled completely in and out of me, and for that reason, this cupcake has done a lot of drawer time in the last couple of weeks.
The main use of this toy is actually when my hubby inserts it and pushes it in as far as it will go, the handle barely sticks out and when he goes down on me he will lick or push the handle with his tongue and chin, which gives me some internal pleasure and is actually pretty unique.
Anal
Hubby did try this anally, he is an anal beginner and wanted to try something that was a little bigger. He loved the sensations at first like I did, but anally this toy is even more painful than vaginally. He did get it in and enjoyed the stretch, but commented that not only was it painful, but it has no flared base, and so probably should not be recommended for anal use at all.

Follow-up commentary

I hate to say it, but the bumps on the largest circumference are still a (painful) deal breaker. I think if this were our only glass toy it would see more use, but since we have others, this toy just sits in the box...

I think removing the nubs is a great suggestion based on all the reviews I've read on this!

Thanks for reviewing! I giggled at your medieval mace comment. Sorry this didn't work out for you, I don't think I'll be brave enough to try this one, that circumference is just too big for me!
