The Little Black Dress of Dildos

This is a good, standard dildo that will make many people happy. Though it does not have many bells or whistles, the curve makes it easy to it your g-spot and the silicone makes it very comfortable to thrust with. I believe that a toy like this is essential to anyone's toy collection.

Use

Curve is a moderately firm, silicone dildo by Eden Fantasys. Dildos, unlike vibrators, do not have a motor in them, so they don't have any fancy functions. This dildo also doesn't have a place in the bottom for you to insert a bullet, so you can't make it into a vibrator.

This toy was mainly tested for vaginal insertion, where both ends can be used to achieve different sensations. The slight curve makes it easy to hit your g-spot, while the softer material means you won't bruise yourself if you get too excited.

Though it does not have a flared base, this could be used for anal insertion if you keep a hold of it. The spherical end makes a good handle, and will keep it from sliding inside relatively well, but I may still feel more comfortable using something with a traditional base if I am going to be leaving a toy in for a while.

Smooth and comfortable, this toy still will not thrill you for external use. It does not vibrate, so you are a bit out of luck if you want more than a finger can give.

If you are looking for a toy to introduce into a relationship, this may be a good bet. It is relatively small, does not have complex functions, and is soft enough that you can leave it in the hands of another. It also is effective enough that it could really help to warm someone up for the finale.

As far as a first toy in general, this may be a good pick. It is easy to use, silent, and slim enough to not be intimidating. It also slides in very easily with just a dab of lube, meaning that even people who are not comfortable with larger toys will love it.

This toy 100% passes Ryu's dorm seal of approval. It's motorless, so it's silent, and it is easy to care for. It is a small enough size to stash in a drawer, but a bit large to keep in your purse, and it could not be easily passed off as anything but a dildo.

Material / Texture

Curve is made from 100% silicone. Silicone is rated a 10 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale, and it's both non-porous and body safe. This means that bacteria can't live inside of the material and that it doesn't contain any toxic chemicals.

I would say that this toy is a happy medium as far as the firmness goes. It is a bit firmer than Tantus silicone, which is my favorite, but this is fine due to the small size. The firmness will also help to target the g- and p-spot, but it is not so firm that this becomes uncomfortable.

Entirely matte and black, this toy does not really stand out in appearance. It is not particularly artistic, but it is very functional, and looks that way. The lack of color may also make it less intimidating for newbies.

This toy has little texture at all to it. It's entirely smooth, which means it's very easy to insert, except for a thin ridge along the side that you cannot feel at all. It has little drag, but I still would always recommend a touch of lube to get things going more easily.

Again, this toy is a happy medium as far as flexibility goes. It is soft enough to have some flex to it and to allow you to thrust vigorously without causing discomfort, but it also is firm enough to allow for pretty accurate stimulation.

Overall, I would recommend silicone to everyone. It's a great material, and this toy has little drag. This toy can also be sterilized, and after that you can switch between anal and vaginal play. I think that the flexibility of the material is my favorite aspect of this toy, as it makes it easy to use and comfortable.

Design / Shape / Size

Curve is well designed and minimal. I enjoy that this is not a realistic toy, which also may make it less intimidating. It is not entirely artistic, but it is attractive and fits well in my hand.

This toy is 7 inches in length, with 6 of those being insertable. It is 1.5 inches in diameter at the thickest point, but the majority of this toy is thinner than that. The length and girth make it comfortable to insert, and the girth varying makes it easy to thrust with. It does not have a traditional 'base' like some dildos do.

As far as shape goes, it is very effective. The curve will be enough to stimulate most g-spots and prostates, and the soft material causes the curve to be more forgiving. The sphere at the other end can be inserted, which was a bit much for me, but may satisfy those interested in a something a bit thicker.

The small indentation on the side is nice to look at, but does not really add to the experience. You cannot feel it when inserted. If you were attempting to grip the shaft of the toy when it was all lubed up it may make holding it easier, but the area with the groove is most likely going to be inserted during play. The texture mainly seems to be for aesthetic purposes.

While this is not obviously a sex toy, I don't know what else you could pass it off as. It is slightly phallic and made of black silicone, so it also would draw attention if left out. Because of this, you may want to stash it away when you are having company.

In total, this toy has a really basic, effective design. It is a comfortable length and girth, and the curve is substantial enough to do the job. I would recommend this for beginners and advanced users who may not have a toy like this already.

Performance

This toy is not a jack of all trades, mainly because it is not motorized, but I think that many people will enjoy what it has to offer.

Vaginal insertion is what this toy shines at. The curve and soft material make it perfect for beginners, intermediate users, or anyone looking for a medium-sized dildo. It is effective at g-spot stimulation as long as you do not need intense pressure, and the curved end will add an interesting dimension if you are interested in thicker toys. While you can insert this toy anally, it does not have a traditional base and is not recommended for prolonged anal use, and then only by those experienced in anal play. The round end may act as a barrier to it being sucked in, but you should keep a hold of it none the less.

Due to not having a traditional base this toy is not harness compatible. It also does not have a suction cup base, so really you can only use this toy manually.

Overall, this is a good toy for vaginal play that is good for thrusting and g-spot stimulation, but is not highly versatile. None the less, it is effective at what it does and will be good for experienced and new users.

Care and Maintenance

Comparably, this toy is relatively easy to clean and maintain. It does attract lint, so it is advisable to rinse it both before and after use. This can be cleaned with an antibacterial toy cleaner, soap and water, or a toy wipe. The ridge does initially build up gunk, but it is shallow enough that it is easy to rinse out.

You can also disinfect this toy. It's entirely silicone, so you can boil it for a few minutes or just wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. This should be done each time you switch users or orifices, or any time you want to thoroughly disinfect it.

You should not store this toy in a way where it is in contact with other silicone toys, as they can potentially react with each other. You also should avoid lubes that contain silicone, as they may damage the toy.

Packaging

The packaging that this toy came in was very minimal. It arrived in a sturdy box, but in an unmarked, plastic bag. Inside of the bag was only the toy, and it did not come with a tag or any information. It did not even list the name of the toy.

Given that this is a basic dildo, there was no confusion about use, but some users may still prefer more information about the toy they have received.

This packaging was easy to remove and dispose of, producing minimal waste for this product. This packaging was not resealable at all, meaning that it was not good for storage. This also may not be good for gift giving, as it is very basic and minimal. It also may not be ideal for gifting as it contains no information about the name, brand, or even material of the toy or how to care for it.

While it is nice not to have unnecessary packaging floating around the house, this toy may take minimal packaging a bit too far.

Experience

While I do have many dildos in my collection, I can say that this is the "little black dress" of non-motorized sex toys. It is a great, comfortable girth, and the round end makes a good handle and can be inserted if you want a more "filling" experience. The curve is good for g-spot stimulation, but the relatively soft material makes it good for beginners and partner play because it won't bruise you. I believe that everyone needs a basic, pleasing dildo like this in their nightstand.

That being said, if you are a size queen or need something that vibrates to get off, this toy may be a bit boring. It also may not get you there if you need intense pressure on your g-spot (or prostate) as it is relatively soft silicone. One thing that I have found enjoyable is using this internally with a bullet externally, but this can quickly turn into a juggling act.

Overall, I would recommend everyone have a dildo like this in their collection. It is basic, comfortable, and effective, even if it does not have the bells and whistles of other toys. Made of a great material, I feel comfortable giving this toy 4 out of 5 stars.
