This Pyrex glass double-ended dildo is great for anyone who loves a little texture. It is primarily designed for vaginal use, but the curve and large bulbous ends may make it safe for anal play at your discretion. It doesn't have a flared base to prevent it from being lost anally, so use caution. I do think that the very pronounced curve of this dildo will also help prevent any mishaps.

Glass dildos are very fun to experiment with temperature play. You can warm it up or cool it down in a cup of warm or cold water before use. It holds temperature for at least a few minutes. Frosty cold sensations really give a nice little shock of pleasure upon insertion.

The Icicles No. 18 is made of borosilicate glass, which is just the fancy term for Pyrex. It's break-resistant, but not completely unbreakable. If it does sadly experience a fall and end up breaking, it won't break into a million little shards of glass, but into thick chunks that'll make cleanup easy and safe.

Glass is compatible with any type of lube. It's easy to clean, and it's sanitizable. You can use toy wipes or toy cleaner, soap and water, or you can boil it, put it in the dishwasher, even wash it down with a 10% bleach solution. I just use toy wipes, and then give it a good polishing with a microfiber cloth. But if I share it with a partner, I like to go the extra mile and really sanitize this bad boy.

The glass on the Icicles No. 18 is incredibly smooth, save for the very pronounced nubs along the shaft of the dildo. They are the largest nubs I've experienced in a glass toy, so beware if you're new to texture or glass. Texture on glass can be even more stimulating than the same kind of texture on a silicone dildo. There's no give or flex to glass, obviously, so it can be a little irritating to some. Keep in mind that lube can mask the texture of a glass dildo very nicely. If it feels like it's a little too much, a bit of lube can greatly reduce any chafing or irritation.

The Icicles No. 18 is a double-ended dildo with very pronounced nubs running along the shaft. On one end, there's a very large head with a pointed tip. The pointed tip is 4 3/4" in circumference, and the shaft is 3 1/8" in circumference. This gives the head a popping sensation upon insertion. The nubs are placed randomly all around the inner shaft, about 1/2" apart from each other. They are the largest nubs I've experienced on a glass toy, measuring at just under 5 mm in height, which gives them a very pronounced and noticeable feeling. The texture could be a bit much for some users.

The other end works as a handle, but can also be used for insertion as well. It's a double-bulbed end, with two large glass bulbs, the larger of the two measuring just under 5" in circumference. The first bulb has a beautiful red flower on the inside, and the second bulb is the same size as the first. The bulbs have a pronounced dip in between them, making the popping sensation noticeable. If they were too close together it wouldn't make this possible, as it can deaden that lovely sensation.

The best part of this dildo is its acute angle. Whether you use the pointed head or the double head, you will get a great curve for your G-spot. I also believe this generous curve could prevent the dildo from becoming lost during anal use, but I would still err on the side of caution when using this dildo for anal play. It may even be too big for most anal users.

With the flower and gorgeous, sparkling glass, this is truly a beautiful dildo. I'm very impressed with the quality.

You could also keep it in its original packaging, but I use it so frequently that that's just not practical. For long-term storage, the original box and styrofoam inlay is perfect.

Pipedream has gorgeous packaging for their Icicles line. The No. 18 comes in a beautiful white and black box, with a picture of the dildo printed on both the front, back, and two sides. There's a flap on the front of the box that's held closed by a magnet. Behind the flap is a plastic window with the glass dildo on display, and on the inside of the flap is product information, including care and the health benefits to glass. The same information is provided on the back of the box.

The box is recyclable, but the Styrofoam inlay that the dildo rests in is not. I plan to keep mine for long-term storage.

There aren't any vulgar or suggestive pictures on the packaging, but it's not discreet, since the dildo is pictured on each side of the box.

I love this glass dildo. It's not my first, but it may have just put all the others to shame. If you can handle girth and texture, you'll love it, too.
