The Iceman Cometh
The dual density Flurry is a different sensation than other dildos with only one type of silicone, and the outer layer does mimic the sensation of having the real thing. The inner core is extremely firm, so anyone who enjoys a more forgiving toy may want to look elsewhere. If you like a toy that is firm yet comfortable for thrusting, the Flurry may be the one for you.

The Flurry is a dual density dildo (try saying that 5 times fast) by Tantus, and is made entirely of 100% silicone. As a dual density item, it has two types of silicone. There is a core made of a firmer silicone, and a thin shell made of squishier silicone. On the Flurry, the squishy thin outer shell is white and the inner firm layer is dark blue. The overlay of white on blue gives the Flurry a sort of icy, wintery appearance. The surface is matte, with quite a bit of drag. There is no texture on the shaft, and aside from the two large ridges around the head of the toy, it's smooth.
The Flurry could be used to tease your clitoris, but it lacks a motor so it won't thrill a lot of users that way. The primary purpose of the toy is insertion, and it can be used vaginally or anally. It provides a great feeling of fullness when used vaginally. When the Flurry is used for thrusting, you do feel the difference of having that outer layer of squishier silicone. Dual density dildos claim to feel like the real thing, and this one does a decent job of mimicking the feel of a real penis. When you use this toy vaginally, be sure to take care, this toy has a fair amount of length and it can bruise the cervix and cause discomfort if it is thrust too vigorously. The flared base makes the Flurry safe to use anally as well, but it won't be for beginners to anal play. Be sure you know your limits or take the time to work up to the Flurry if you intend to use it anally. You could take your Flurry in the bath, shower or pool if you wanted to, as it's all silicone and waterproof.
The Flurry is 7.5" in length, with 6.5" of that able to be inserted. The diameter of the Flurry maxes out at 1.5", so it's not a great choice for those new to penetration. It isn't enormous, but it's on the higher end of average. The last 1" of the toy is all white with no firmer core. That section has some give, and you can squish it with your fingers. The rest of the toy can only be squished until you reach the core blue silicone. There is no flop to the Flurry at all, and it is straight with no curve or angle to it. It's not abstract, as it loosely resembles a penis, but it isn't very realistic either. It has a stylized head and retracted foreskin, so it is definitely phallic, but it doesn't have any veining or texture. The inner dark blue core is very firm, and the Flurry can't be easily bent or folded. Unlike other silicone dildos I've had that bend and flex easily, the Flurry holds its own and demands that you do things his way. The base of the Flurry measures 2 3/4", and has little to no flex. It is O-ring compatible and could be used in a harness, or you could just hold on to it. There is no suction to the base, so you can't stick it to the shower or wall.
The Flurry is all silicone, so cleaning is simple. You can clean the toy with a mild soap and water or with your favorite toy cleaner. If you wish to sterilize the toy, you could boil it for three minutes or place it in the top rack of your dishwasher. It does tend to collect hair and lint, so please check it before using it to be sure it's clean. Please use only water based lubes, as silicone lubes will damage the toy. When you store the Flurry, take care to store it away from other silicone toys, as contact with them will cause damage.
The Flurry comes in the standard Tantus packaging. There is an outer clear plastic package, with the Tantus logo and some information about the toy printed on it. Inside that package, there is a form fitting clear plastic holder for the toy itself. I wouldn't call it discreet, as you can clearly see the toy inside. There is minimal information included with the toy. The side of the box advises that if you have any questions regarding care or cleaning, you should visit Tantus' website. The package really isn't suitable for gifting, but could be used for storing the toy. It does take up quite a bit more room than the toy itself, so if space is an issue for you, you might want to consider storing it elsewhere. I suppose you could travel with the Flurry if you wanted to, but everyone will know it's a dildo.

Experience
Walking in a Winter Wonderland? The Flurry is!
I had my doubts that the Flurry was for me as soon as I got my hands on it. I don't need a huge amount of curve for G-spot play, but I need a toy I can flex a bit. The first time I held the Flurry and felt how firm and unyielding the core of it was, I knew it wouldn't be a favorite.
I gave it a go anyway, and although it's a well made and enjoyable toy, it just isn't a favorite. After a bit of other play to get warmed up, my husband eased the tip of the Flurry inside me. It felt surprisingly realistic; that white squishy tip was very convincing. I was surprised how much it felt like the real deal. The further in it went, the less I liked it. It did give me a nice full feeling, and it did feel comfortable and smooth. I just don't care for the firmness of the core. In no time, it was poking my cervix and causing me to remind my husband to take it easy. We have and enjoy a lot of glass toys, and he knows to be careful with those, but silicone toys usually allow for a bit more craziness. This one does not.
The two ridges on the Flurry are intended for G-spot stimulation, but they didn't work that way for me. I didn't find them uncomfortable when the toy was inserted or thrust, but they didn't stimulate my G-spot nearly enough to bring me to orgasm. I'll say again that I think if the toy was a bit squishier overall, or had a bit more flex or curve to it, those ridges could have found the mark. As it is, I just couldn't get the angle I needed to get any kind of pressure. Because the only real feature of this toy aside from those ridges is a smooth, plain shaft, the toy left me feeling less than thrilled. There isn't anything wrong with the Flurry, and it's a high quality toy, but I don't see myself reaching for it when so many other toys provide unique sensations or hit the spot better. It's a plain jane dildo, but a nicely made, high quality one.
And for those of you who have asked, I do have neighbors and I'm sure they wonder why I come outside and take pictures of small, brightly colored things from time to time. No one has asked about it yet, or admitted that they know what they are. I just think the natural light makes the toys look too pretty to pass it up!

Although it's not at the top of my list of favorite dildos, this is a quality item that some may love. It doesn't get much love around here, because I have others that I prefer.
