Icicles No. 11 is a glass toy intended for penetration. This one is for ladies only, as it's not recommended for anal use due to the lack of a flared base. It is glass, and it is very hard, so use caution when thrusting. Breakage isn't much of an issue, but without caution you could bruise your cervix. Glass toys are great for temperature play. This one in particular is great if you are a big fan of texture.

Icicles No. 11 is made out of Borosilicate Glass, which is just a fancy word for Pyrex glass. It's different from regular glass in many ways. It has a higher chemical resistance and a higher resistance to breakage caused by temperature change, which makes it safe for temperature play. Also if, on the off chance it did break, it would break into large pieces rather than shatter into tiny ones. It rates at a 10 on the safety scale, and it's completely non-porous. All Icicles pieces are hand-blown and designed to last a lifetime.

It has no smell or taste. It's about as hard as materials come, so there is no give at all. The texture is displayed rather extremely, but it's not intimidating, and it would be great for beginners or advanced toy users alike.

As you can see, there are two main types of texture on the Icicles No. 11. One end has a nubbed ball at the top and, as you go down the shaft, it has a slightly larger bulbous area. The other end has a small ball at the top of a ribbed section. The whole thing is only 6.5 inches long, which is something you should consider if you like your toys to be a little longer. I would say this is better suited for g-spot stimulation, with the right angle, than it is for deep thrusting. You have to have something to hang on to, so the whole 6.5 inches isn't insertable.

Although I've admired them from afar, this was my first toy from the Icicles line. I have other glass toys, but none are Icicles. My favorite thing about them is how heavy they feel inside me. I'm not sure if it is because this one is so small, or if all Icicles toys are like this, but this toy was very lightweight. I couldn't get it to show up on my scale, but the product page says it weighs 0.4 lbs. The weight feels like your typical vibrator before you put the batteries in it.

The toy is not discreet at all.

The performance of this toy is going to come down to one thing: what you look for in a toy. I put off buying glass toys for a long time because, as far as I knew, I had to have vibration to get me anywhere with a toy. I finally got one that I couldn't pass up, simply because it was pretty. Much to my surprise I loved it, and I've gotten several since then. I love the heavy feeling of the glass, and I love the swirly colors in a lot of the toys. The texture isn't something that makes much of a difference to me. Knowing that, had I gotten this as my first glass toy, I may not have gotten any more. That being said, if you are someone who loves texture, this is going to be a completely different story for you. The potential is there, but for me, it just didn't cut it.

Glass toys are about the easiest thing to care for. They are compatible with all lubes. To clean them, you can just use soap and water, or throw them in the dishwasher. For storage, the best thing to do is use a padded bag. If you don't have one, just be careful to put it somewhere it won't get bumped around a lot. It's pretty hard to break them, but regardless of how you store it, you always want to give them a once-over for cracks or chips before you use them.

This toy didn't come with a padded bag, so you will want to purchase one separately.

The packaging was not discreet, but very classy. Inside the box there was foam, which held the toy in place and protected it. The back was the same as what was on the inside of the front flap. You could reuse the box for storage, but after so many times of pulling that foam in and out, I'd think that the box would eventually start to get worn.
