Tasteful, unassuming, not terrifying
The aesthetics of the Hera make up for the lack of battery power and you can heat it, chill it, wash it, drop it, and use it for anal play. It's a pretty cool toy.

Pros
Elegant, sturdy, multifunctional
Cons
No buzz, just a dildo...
I was actually rather excited to get this toy in the mail. Fist of all, it comes in a cute, very feminine box with satiny lining and a bow. Once the box is open, there lies the Hera. The curves are soft, like yours, but when you pick it up, it is very heavy. I suppose it was heavier than I expected. This dildo is not large, veiny, or floppy; it's elegant. In fact, it's about as elegant as a dildo can be. I joked with my guy that it could probably pass as a piece of art on a mantle. All of my other toys have been made of a silicone or rubbery substance and the difference in feeling is huge, both in hand and when playing.
Hera has two ends, the longer of which the reviews say has about six inches of insertable length. This toy might serve as an excellent introductory toy for anal play, as the smaller end can also be used. The smaller end is about the same size as a thumb, which I know is pretty subjective, but you get the idea.
The contours are very smooth, and I found that the durable Hera could be heated or cooled for a little extra something if you want to shake things up. Usually, lubrication is not an issue for me (sorry for the over share), but I found that with the glass, it definitely helps and ensures a smooth ride. For some reason, I need a least a little bit of lube when playing with this toy; I'm not sure if I can blame it on the material as it sure doesn't have to do with how it feels.
Also, one last thing is that Hera is dishwasher safe, bleach safe, you can take it in the bathtub, pool, hot tub...really anywhere. Mine has rolled off the bed a few times onto the hardwood floor and hasn't splintered or chipped.

Thank you for viewing Hera – glass dildo discontinued review page!
I want to point out that because this lacks a flared base, it's really not safe for anal use. Glass gets so slippery when lubed up, that I would think keeping a firm grip on this would be especially difficult. If you do decide to risk it, gripping it with a piece of cloth will improve your grip a little, but a better idea is to try the bases you can add to it to provide a flared base. Eden sells these so called vibrator enhancers in a three pack, or individually .
