If you are unfamiliar with glass toys and you are looking for a place to start this is a good one. It can be used alone, or with a partner. Use it with a good clitoral vibe and you have the potential for a super orgasm. Glass is very firm and has no give at all. This should be kept in mind for a first time glass user as it will seem larger while inserted than it actually is.

The Swirled Rib by Phallix is a piece of art, to be sure. The ball head of my Swirled Rib is a beautiful swirled green sitting atop a swirl ribbed shaft. I chose this toy because of the material (Pyrex glass) and because it is so pretty. This toy was a bit smaller and skinnier than I was expecting. Don't let that fool you! The ball itself was a dream and really nestled into my g-spot with minimal movements or maneuvering. Inserting the ball was also enjoyable with a nice popping sensation. The shaft is pretty thin and at the center the swirled ribs twist a bit, adding a gentle and subtle sensation internally. The ribs are not blunt but smooth, and the depth of them is enough that you will have to do some diligent cleaning. While the texture is not overwhelming and many might not notice it at all, if you tend to be ultra sensitive to texture the ribs might be too much for you. Internally the ribs were almost unnoticeable for me. Twisting the dildo while inside really didn't add to the texture or make it any more prominent. For someone who really needs thinner toys, or for a true beginner, it might be a lot more noticeable. When using the ball as a handle and inserting the skinnier end it really didn't do anything for me. It was too skinny and not pleasurable, although it wasn't annoying or anything. If you prefer or need girthier toys then this one won't fit that bill, but I am telling you: THE BALL IS THE KEY on this one!







It is approximately 7 inches long and the diameter of the shaft is approximately 1 1/4 inches (mine is a bit shy of 1 1/4 in diameter). The diameter of the ball is roughly 2 inches. Keep in mind that glass toys are hand made and can vary from piece to piece.

This beauty can be a great beginner glass toy, remembering to keep in mind the unyielding nature of glass. The ball itself is larger in diameter than the shaft, but if you enjoy a stretch then it is really nice. Once the ball is inside there is no longer a stretch as the shaft is much thinner, but the ball feels great against the g-spot.

If you like sensory play you can heat this piece up in warm water or cool it down in cool water.

Travel with this is a possibility if you don't mind that it is obviously a sex toy.

The packaging was a simple plastic package. It can with a pink satiny bag for storage. Cleaning Pyrex glass is simple. Since it is non porous you can use soap and water or a toy cleaner, or throw it in the dishwasher. Silicone, oil and water based lubes are all compatible with glass.

Glass is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I really enjoyed this one. While it could have been a bit longer for grip purposes, all in all it was great.
