The Sunrise Dong is a 7" ribbed dildo made of jelly. This was my first jelly toy, and I had read other reviews that mentioned a phantom smell that wouldn't go away- so I wasn't that surprised to find this toy does have a distinct rubbery smell. When I first took it out of the package, the smell was pretty overwhelming, however a few washes have diminished it to the point where you can only smell it if you actually hold it under your nose.

I love the toy's texture- the ridges are nice and smooth, ensuring a wonderful sensation when inserted. The jelly is a beautiful pink and is see through. It has a nice weight to it when you hold it in your hand. I also love how jelly has that perfect balance between squishy and firm- like the real thing!

Since the jelly material is so soft, it is also somewhat "tacky"- meaning it will pick up dust, hair, etc. very easily. You would need to store it in a clean, safe spot immediately after washing.

The Sunrise Dong has a realistic shaped head at the top, followed by smooth ridges that run down the length of the dildo, stopping at about 1/4 inch from the end. The overview calls this a 7 1/4" dildo, but the package says 7", which is correct- there is really only about 7" of insertable dildo. The ridges start about 1 inch down the shaft, so even users who do not want to insert the entire dildo will be able to take advantage of the ridges' unique feeling.

Since this toy "runs" on your own power, its performance is really limited to how you use its main features- its length and the wonderfully shaped ridges! Not too big and not too small with just the right amount of stimulation. G-spot stimulation is a bit tricky as the Sunrise jelly is too soft to be bent or angled in an effort to stimulate it DIRECTLY.

Jelly material cannot be sterilized, therefore it is important to use a condom on this toy if you are sharing with a partner. The Sunrise dong is made specifically out of PVC with Sil-A-Gel, which the package claims is "anti-bacterial, non-toxic, latex free, and cadmium free." Care consists of washing with toy cleaner or mild soap and water, and air dried. Lube choices should be water-based.

The toy comes packaged in a re-closeable hard plastic package with a picture of a clothed woman on the front and back. It's great to put the dildo back into once it's washed and dried. The package gives the company address as well as information about warranty and registration on their website. The back of the packages warns users, "DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WARM THIS PRODUCT IN A MICROWAVE OR A CONVENTIONAL OVEN." And, it's made in the USA!

This was honestly my first toy without a motor!! I wasn't really sure what to expect, and thought I might get bored with it quickly- not the case! I loved the ridges and the feel of the jelly. While I am normally a much bigger fan of clitoral stimulation rather than vaginal, the Sunrise dong is something I will reach for again, no question- even over some of my vibrators.
