Smooth Operator
I think all Tantus products are worth the investment. There is no doubt this toy is a lifetime investment. The smooth texture makes for easy entry - requiring only a minimum of lubrication (oil or water only). Take your time finding the balls - and before long this beauty will be tickling your A-spot!

Pros
Very high quality silicone, excellent size for those looking for a 2" dildo.
Cons
Might be too smooth if you like a lot of texture.
We bought the Maverick as a part of an upgrade process - let me explain. We're trying to find silicone toys that can replace older jelly or rubber toys. So the Maverick was chosen for that rare occasion when my wife is up for that full feeling that she gets from a 2" diameter dildo.
The toy the Maverick was meant to replace is the Basix 7.5" dildo with suction cup [https://www.discreet-romance.com/basix-75quot-pink-dong-wsuction-adult-sex-toys-40935.html] - so the Maverick comes up short right from the start. If you want a suction cup, don't buy the Maverick. However, we don't use the suction cup for anything but a handle - and the large balls of the Maverick work just fine for controlling this big boy.
Size wise the Basix is just a tad shy of 2" at it's widest point - by comparison the Maverick is about 1/8" less and has kind of an odd shape - more oval than round. This turns out to be a little bit of an advantage. If I turn the Maverick sideways - it goes in a little easier.
The Maverick has an insert-able length of about 6.5" vs. about 7" for the Basix. There is also a noticeable difference in design - the Basix shaft gradually tapers to about 1.25" so the experience is very different than the Maverick which is more-or-less the same diameter from top to bottom. My wife prefers the taper - it creates a repeated stretch and relax feeling similar to - but much larger than - the real thing! So score this one for Basix.
The second feature of the shaft is texture. The both the Basix and Maverick are fairly smooth - with a small notch around the head. What makes the shafts feel different is the taper which makes the head much more pronounced. There's one caveat here - the notch around the head of the Basix is more pronounced - and if I'm not careful it can hurt a my wife a bit when removing the shaft.
It should be noted that the Maverick is a firm toy - but not hard. The firmness makes it easier to insert than the somewhat floppy Basix model which I ended up having to modify with a stiff wire to make it easier to insert - definitely score one for the Maverick.
So which is the winner? I declare it a draw - both are keepers - so I need to buy some additional condoms to use with the Basix which is one of the advantages of the Maverick - like all Tantus toys it's made with very high quality silicone making it easier to use and clean up.
The Maverick has an interesting design - it appears that a straight shaft is 'welded' to the ball section - this does not at all detract from the use of the toy or it's quality.
Bottom line if you like firm, smooth, large well made silicone dildos - give this one a try. If you don't need or want a suction cup - the balls make a great handle for partner play.
Neither of us are able to take anything this large anally - but there isn't anything but the size that would prevent this action if your so inclined.

Experience
For something this large I always start with something smaller while my wife gets excited enough for something this large - in fact sometimes it's just too much. But when she's in the mood, this smooth operator will slip in quite easily. I start out with about half the shaft inside and will no go any deeper until she starts to press into my thrusts - eventually taking the every inch.
Although the Maverick has not brought my wife to orgasm or caused her to squirt - all she needs to do is add a clit vibe and she achieves a very satisfying orgasm - the good thing is that even though I don't come near this thing in girth - as soon as she has her first orgasm, she's ready for me to use my natural tool to bring on #2 or 2&3, or...

Follow-up commentary

The Maverick is a quality silicone dildo - but my wife doesn't want a larger toy often - and when she does, the softer versions like the O2 Revolution are more comfortable. but if you like them hard and wide - the Maverick is a great choice.
