Well, what would you use a dildo for? Anal? Oral? Purely vaginal?

The Basix Rubber Works Slim 7 is a fairly standard dildo, textured with veins and exciting bits of simulated flesh. The focus of this dildo, of course, is that it has a very slender shaft. Sporting a narrow head and gradually increasing over the whole length, the Basix is geared toward players who enjoy length over girth. Personally, I have found it to be fantastic for anal play for this very reason. It has the reach to tickle deep without feeling like you're taking a baseball bat right at the start, which sometimes accompanies other dildos.

Additionally, the Slim 7 has a cupped base for suctioning onto smooth, hard surfaces like bathtubs, shower walls, penthouse windows, what have you. Once stuck, it has an impressive hold, should the user get... vigorous. Also, the suction base is flanged for use in strap-on harnesses. I have found when using a condom on this dildo, that the end of the unrolled lip nestles nicely into this recess as well. This helps ensure that the condom will not slip off or roll up off of the dildo during use, which, given it's tapered shaft, could conceivably be a problem.

Now to the real draw back of this piece, it's rubber. With such a move toward material safety and complete anti-bacterial sterilization, it sometimes catches me off guard to see companies still producing toys in rubber, or especially jelly.

What does this mean for the Slim 7? Basically, it is not a toy that can be shared with others. So if you were hoping for a party favor, this is not the dildo for you. Rubber is a porous material and cannot be completely sanitized, and as such it is recommended that one uses a condom with this toy to help keep it sanitary. Being rubber, though, it is hypo-allergenic, latex, and phthalates free. Also, being rubber, either water based or silicone based lubricants will work with this piece.

The Slim 7 is smooth and surprisingly flesh like. The shaft is realistically modeled with veins and textured bits of penis flesh. The body of the toy is slightly curved, adding to the realistic appearance and feel of the dildo. It has a degree of flexibility, but not enough to inhibit penetration by folding or twisting away mid thrust. I have read others mention an odor associated with the Slim 7, but I have not personally noticed anything pungent about this toy.

The Slim 7 is again, a toy designed for length, not girth. It is 8" in overall length, with an insertable shaft measuring 7". The penis head is 1" in diameter, and 4" in circumference. It increases slightly over the 7" shaft to 2" in diameter, and 6" in circumference at the base. The suction cup, it should be mentioned, is 2 3/4" in diameter, and 7 1/2" in circumference.

The Slim 7 has become my go-to toy for anal stimulation. It requires very little "warm-up" to accommodate right off the bat, while the graduated increase in diameter provides a fantastic full feeling. The suction base works wonders when attached to the lip or base of the tub, holding it in place for a wild ride. I have not had the chance to use the Slim 7 in conjunction with our strap-on harness, but it does fit securely and sit correctly in the harness. I hope to have the chance soon to try it out in this way.

I am, however, saddened by the limitations of its rubber nature. I think it would be a very beneficial anal dildo to use on the girl during her continuing anal training. However, this toy really can't be shared. It isn't the worst thing, having an exclusive anal toy all to myself, but I have always appreciated versatility in my toys (either in function or in use). Again, I always use a condom with the Slim 7 to help keep it clean and as sanitary as possible, but even then I wouldn't recommend sharing it with anyone else.

It does clean up fairly well with soap and water, but again don't confuse dirt free with sterile. I would also not recommend switching back and forth between anal and oral use for this reason.

I store the Slim 7 in its original plastic packaging, keeping it dirt and lint free. Occasionally I'll wipe out the plastic sleeve with a hand wipe or soapy cloth to keep the toy from getting cross contaminated during storage. It fits easily into the drawer where I keep my penetration toys.

Being rubber, it does work with any water based or silicone based lubricant. For anal penetration I use a water based jelly lubricant in conjunction with a condom for the increased viscosity.
