The Basix Slim dildo by Pipedream is great for beginners and experienced toy lovers alike. The girth is suited towards beginners, whilst the length is great for those with a little more experience. This simple dildo is suited for anal novices, as well as vaginal, and the suction cup helps it stay in place. Where the dildo ends and the base begins, is a nice nook that allows for a harness to attach to it. I used a 1 1/2 inch ring in my snap-in harness.

The material is typical of rubber here, nothing special. When standing on the suction cup, it does not stand up completely straight, so is more flexible than it is firm. The veins are not that discernible, but perhaps if this were made of a firmer material like silicone, they would be more tell-tale. The texture at the bottom is a bit odd, I think we just aren't supposed to go that far. When inserted, it feels like a smooth dildo, and the veins seem to be more for aesthetics, so the texture is fine for beginners. The smell is mild, compared to other rubber products.

This slim schlong has a slight taper to the bottom of the toy, and the veins are very aesthetically pleasing, albeit not sexually pleasing. It's realistic looking enough, apart from the suction cup, of course. The suction cup works great, and sticks through and through during intense play. As I said, where the suction cup and dildo meet, there is a great notch that can be used to attach the toy to a harness. This toy is long, yet slim, which makes it great for those of any skill level and intended purpose of the toy. This toy, given its size and realistic nature, does not suit it for discreet travel.

What's best about this toy is its dimensions. It appeals to really any skill level, and the suction cup and harness capability make it truly versatile.

This toy is easy to care for. Just a little toy cleaner, or antibacterial soap and water and you're good to go. Due to the nature of the material, however, it will never be completely free of whatever comes into contact with it. Please use toy covers and/or condoms with this toy if sharing with a partner! The material is susceptible to transferring dye from other items, such as toys or lingerie. Please be cautious of what is in contact with it while drying or in storage. Water, oil, and silicone based lubes work fantastically with this product.

This toy is packaged in typical vacuum plastic mold packaging. Not practical for storage, but can be recycled. I guess it makes a decent gift package; I don't know how receptive people will be if you hand them an unpackaged dildo as a present.
