Share With Care
The Share XL is the perfect strap-on for those who want (much) more than the standard dildo can provide. This is a superbly designed toy with lots of size, nice texture, and a great feel...but it is definitely not the place to start for beginners or the faint of heart.

Pros
Great material, construction, and texture.
Cons
Could be too large for some.
After spending quality time with the Share XL I am positively convinced of two things:
1. This is not the dildo for me.
2. The Share XL is the finest silicone dildo I have had the pleasure of owning.
The Share XL is the bigger cousin to Fun Factory's traditional Share dildo, and is a double-ended dildo designed to be held within the vagina. Having been longtime users of the Feeldoe, which was one of the first of these "wearable" dildos, my partner and I were curious to explore the Share line and figured we might as well go all the way.
The Share XL comes in both black and fuschia, ours is black, and the first thing that was apparent on the arrival of the dildo was its weight. The product description puts the Share XL at 1.5lbs, which is a half pound more than the Feeldoe we had been used to, and all things considered a fair bit of weight to have in a dildo. The packaging for the Share XL was fairly simple, a nicely designed cardboard box with some various instruction manuals and promotional materials from Fun Factory. No fancy storage cases or bags (unfortunately) but otherwise well packaged.
Once out of the box, it was apparent just how sizable the XL was. While not substantially longer than our trusty Feeldoe, the Share XL was clearly a much more bulked out dildo. Both the short "wearer" end of the dildo and the "insertable" end are textured with gentle, but sizable, ridges. And while the Share XL is by no means realistic in design, it follows a relatively naturalistic form with a slight upward curve to the head of the dildo.
The Share XL is pure silicone, and it is a soft and slightly pliable silicone that I can only say has one of the best textures of any silicone toys that I have encountered. While the Share XL is by no means "lifelike" in feel, the give within the structure of the toy makes it a little more flexible, and generally more comfortable than harder silicone toys that I have encountered.
From a wearer standpoint my partner found the Share XL to be easier to hold in than the Feeldoe, despite the weight of the dildo. The more contoured bulb on the end of the dildo was easier to hold for her, and the slightly less slick feel of the silicone made it a little less slippery. However, given both the general weight of the toy, and our previous experiences with double-ended dildos we opted to use the Share XL with a harness. The harness helped to provide a little additional support, but more importantly that extra reassurance and stability that can help the wearer to focus less on just keeping the dildo in place.
So far so good.
But, in spite of all the excellent qualities of the Share XL, it was just a little more XL than I had bargained for. With enough warmup it was definitely possible to take most of the XL, but I just found myself not wanting to go much further than the first two ridges. Turning the Share XL on my partner she had less trouble accommodating it, but found that it was still a little more than what she typically wanted for both width and texture.
Moral of the story: share with care.
This is a really fabulously designed dildo. It is a striking but playful design, and probably perfect for someone who really loves size and texture in a double-ended "harness free" dildo. Since it is silicone the Share XL is easy to clean (though it does like to attract lint), and can be boiled for sanitation. While silicone lube should not be used with the Share XL, it works great with any number of water based lubes, and the silicone of the toy becomes nicely slick and very comfortable with ease. While ridged toys can be slightly more difficult to clean the Share XL has gentle ridges that do not trap gunk and can easily be washed.
While the Share XL is not absurdly large, if you are considering this dildo you may want to think about just how much size and texture is actually comfortable/enjoyable for you. This is a great dildo, but more than what the average person or couple is probably looking for. But while we did not fall in love with the Share XL itself, it has convinced us that the original Share would be an excellent investment. With great material, feel, and design, it was only a question of size for us and the Share XL proved to be just a little too much.
