Seinfeld fans will remember the "Serenity Now" mantra used by Jerry's father on that famous episode. It's the first thing that popped into my head when trying to think of a title. The Reflections Serenity dildo by Doc Johnson evokes many feelings in me, though serenity is not one of them.

When I saw how big this actually was, I was a excited, but to be honest a bit afraid. I have some pretty big rubber dildos, but to see something this size in a material as rigid and hard as glass, I was bit hesitant. The shaft isn't super long or thick, but the big ball on the end was a lot bigger that I had anticipated. After working myself up with the smaller end, I decided to try the bigger end as well. To my surprise, it was a very nice feeling. It is a bit harder to insert the ball, as it is not tapered at all, but with some lube, I was able to take it. It gives you that nice "popping" feeling when it goes in, and gives me the full feeling I crave and haven't been able to get from other glass toys. The curved shaft makes it easy to use leverage to hit my g-spot and the rigidity and size of that big ball made finding my sometimes stubborn g-spot very easy. If the big ball is something you don't think you would enjoy internally, it does make a great handle to hold onto when your fingers are lubed. Glass is very slick, and even more so when wet, so sometimes it it hard to hold when thrusting. The big ball fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, making it easy to hold onto. The smaller end would be perfect for beginners.

I own the bent graduate and this one has replaced it when I want g-spot stimulation, because the design of this is easier to hold onto and manipulate. If you are looking for a glass toy for p-spot stimulation, I can see this working really well, as long as you insert the small end. Just be careful, as glass is slick. While the bigger end can act as a base to keep it from going in, advanced users may find that it might slip in if you are pushing hard enough.

This Serenity is made of smooth tempered glass. It is one of the safest materials out there, as it is non porous and can be sterilized. I chose the black one, but it also comes in light pink. There is no texture to it, other than than the bulbous ends. It's is hard and smooth and slick. When I am using the smaller end, I do not even need lube.

The design of this dildo is what really sets it apart form other glass dildos. It has a curve to the shaft that reminds me of the Pure Wand, which is something I would love to try but can't afford. This makes it easier to find and stimulate your g-spot, and is my favorite thing about this dildo.

It has a total length of 7 inches, and the insertable length will vary a bit depending on which end you use, but it says on the site that it is 5 inches. One end has a smaller tapered head of 1 and 1/4 inches in diameter that is easier to insert. The other end is a round ball that is a whopping 1 3/4 inches in diameter. That might not seem like a lot to you size queens out there, but keep in mind that this is made of hard rigid glass and there is no taper to it at all. You will be popping this whole ball into your vagina at once and the shaft is only one inch in diameter, so it will literally feel like a hard glass ball in there. Some may not like this feeling, but I do. It gives me a full feeling that my other glass toys do not, and makes it easier to stimulate my g-spot with the wider area, rather than pinpoint stimulation.

I love the black glass and the curved design. I can see that some would feel the bigger end is uncomfortable, but what makes this toy great is that it has two heads. The smaller tapered head will work great for beginners, and the bigger end will give that something extra to advanced users. For g-spot stimulation, this toy delivers and has replaced my much loved bent graduate.

Another great thing about glass is its ability to retain temperature. I like how cool it feels at room temperature and how nice it feels once my body heat as warmed it up. If you want to experience more extreme temperature play, you can hold this under hot or cold running water and it will retain the hot or cool temperature for awhile.

Cleaning is a breeze as this toy is non porous and has no texture. I use antibacterial liquid soap and warm water, but you could use toys cleaners as well. If you have need to sterilize, which I recommend if using this for anal play, you could use a bleach and water solution. You can use any type of lube as well.

Storing this is another matter. This is the first glass toy I have gotten that did not come with a pouch. The box is just plastic and has a custom molded plastic inner that holds the toy in place. You could use this for storage, but it is a bit bulky and not easily to get the toy in and out of quickly. For now, I am using a thick fleece sock. If you are careful, you shouldn't have to worry about it getting broken, but if it gets dropped or stepped on, I am sure it will break. That is not to say this toy is thin delicate glass. In fact it is thick and kinda heavy, but it IS glass, so be careful.

There was one flaw I noticed about this toy, though it is not a big one. I noticed when I opened the box and took the dildo out that there are a few small bubbles and scratches on it. These can not be felt during use and are barely noticeable, but this bugs the perfectionist in me. This is a gorgeous dark black glass, you can not see through it like you can other glass toys. This may make it easier to see these small flaws, as no light passes through it so it is easier to see the surface imperfections. All in all this is a beautiful dark black piece of glass and it is so unlike the glass toys I have seen. However, when I hold it in the light, my eyes go straight to these imperfections as well as the finger prints I leave on it and it irks me to no end. This is just my personality, so others may not care at all, but I find myself wishing I could go to a store, open up five or six of these things and find one that is PERFECT. It has become one of my favorite toys, but I want one that looks as perfect as it feels. I'm a bit nuts that way, but I am a Virgo. What can I say? I would give this 5 stars if it didn't have these flaws.
