Sedeux Skyn: Renaissance Dildo
The thing that stands out most about the Skyn is versatility. Great with a harness, great for thrusting, g-spot, and anal play, safe, a nice moderate size, and pretty to boot!

Pros
Realistic size, wide base, sterilizable, smooth with subtle curves.
Cons
Could come with a suction cup, silicone has a bit too much drag for me.
Sportsheets' Sedeux Skyn really has something for everyone. It's a lovely, shiny, purple dildo of average size - a little over 5 inches insertable - that's great for beginners and advanced users alike. The flared base makes it safe for anal and great for strap-on play, as well.
Though it can definitely be used to reach more sensitive g-spots, I find the Skyn is best suited for thrusting. The angle at which it juts from the base makes it very convenient for solo play, as it reduces the need to bend your arms and wrists to hit the right spot. The base itself functions pretty well as a handle, considering that's not what it was designed for. This has made it my go-to toy for partner play, as my partner has no problem keeping it from dropping or slipping into the wrong position due to lubed-up hands.
Aside from the lovely angled base, the Skyn also has a subtle curve about halfway up the shaft. This makes it easy to hit your g-spot with the toy's flared head. However, though the silicone is quite firm, there is still plenty of bend along the shaft, so those who need a lot of pressure may want to spring for a glass or metal toy.
For strap-on play, the Skyn is one of the best toys I've ever used. It sticks out at a very realistic angle, which makes it convenient for hitting your lover's prostate or g-spot. It has a large base that sits firm in a standard O-ring. It's a great choice if you're looking for something versatile and semi-realistic.
The Skyn is completely smooth and textureless save for the subtle ridge at the tip that resembles the head of a penis. The ridge can't be distinctly felt during penetration, but makes a satisfying 'pop' feeling when pulled out. It has a nice realistic size, which I would call the larger end of average. For me, the girth was about the biggest I can enjoy, but I tend to like small toys. It should be fine for most beginners, but if you're unsure, try the Sedeux Flare, which is essentially the same design, but smaller.
The Skyn is 100% silicone, which gives it a few distinct pros and cons. It's completely sterilizable (through boiling, bleaching, or tossing it in the top rack of the dishwasher), and routine cleaning can be done with gentle soap and water. The material is squishy, but not floppy, and has a nice weight to it for a flexible toy. The only problems with silicone is that it attracts lint like crazy, and has a lot of surface drag. Some like the drag, but I found it made penetration more difficult, especially since the toy is incompatible with silicone lube (which is longer lasting than water-based). If you think this will be a problem for you, just make sure you invest in a nice thick water-based lube and apply liberally.
Overall, this is an awesome dildo that has a use for almost everyone. I call it Goldilocks: not too big nor too small, not too realistic nor too abstract, not too firm nor too squishy, but just right.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
Two months later, and the Skyn is still my most used dildo. I still have to get nice and warmed up to use it because of the girth and the drag of the silicone, but it feels so good when I do! The angle and the little bump are just perfect.
