Scouts Honor
I think the look of this dildo is more aimed at men than women but at the same time will work well for either gender. While it is not ideal for anal use it is certainly suitable for it.

Pros
Material, Bulbous head
Cons
Lack of colour variety
-Introduction/Packaging-
I was delighted to be getting the Scout by Tantus to review. Between my partner and I we own more than two dozen Tantus toys so it is always a delight to see what new ones will be like. It arrives in the usual style of Tantus packaging. If you have ever gotten one before you know the type I mean. It is a basic plastic box with red colouring. The good part is you can see the toy straight away and know what to expect. The downside is the packaging material is very flimsy and if it cracks or tears it can have very sharp edges. Inside the toy is held by a purpose moulded insert so it won’t get bounced around. Overall it gets the toy to you in one piece but isn’t really suitable for long term storage.
-Material/Specifications-
The toy is made from silicone which is ideal as a sex toy material as it is non porous, latex and phthalates free and hypo-allergenic. Basically it won’t take in any bodily fluids during use. My first impressions once out of the packaging was that the toy was a bit firmer than I had expected. It has a rubber/pvc feel to it which to me seems more fetish orientated then Tantus’s usual range.
It is very straight with a wide bulbous head. It has a set of low hanging testicales which are divided by a ridge. While it isn’t from the same range or anything, the design reminds me a little of Tantus dinosaur range.
It is average length with a wider than average girth in the head. The total measurements are as follows.
Overall length = 6 ½ Inches
Insertable length = 5 ½ Inches
Circumference (head) = 5 ½ Inches
Circumference (shaft) = 5 Inches
-Use-
To be honest we had a fair idea what to expect while using this. It is straight and firm so there isn’t a pronounced curve for g-spot stimulation or anything. That said the flare of the head makes for some great stimulation with thrusting.
As the toy has a relatively smooth finish you might not need lube if you are very warmed up but the wide head might necessitate it. If you find yourself wanting some then I recommend water or oil based lubricants as silicone lubes on silicone toys can degrade the finish.
The design while a bit of a departure from some of our normal tantus toys was still very enjoyable. The balls are great for holding onto during thrusting and the raised ridge on them can even be used to grind against with the clit if you are using it flipped around (as there is no curve the toy can be used fairly comfortably either way).
The straight shaft makes it fairly comfortable for anal play, once you can overcome the fairly wide head there is a nice “pop” sensation as your muscles contract around it. While the balls make for a large base makes it free standing it does not have a suction cup nor is it harness compatible so anal play can be a little difficult.
-Care-
Cleaning of the scout couldn’t be simpler. As it is silicone you have a few options available to you. The most straightforward is to wash it with warm water and a mild antibacterial soap or toy cleaner. However if you want to you can throw it in the top rack of the dishwasher or even boil it for three minutes to sterilise it completely.
Once it is clean and dry I find a zip seal plastic bag works best for long term storage. These are great as they protect the toy from other toy materials reacting, keep the toy free from dust (which silicone invariably attracts) and they take up virtually no extra space compared to the toy itself.
-Summary-
While this toy didn’t seem to match Tantus’s usual popularity I have to say we enjoyed it. I understand the severe black look and the lack of colour options might be off putting for some as it is a departure from the normal Tantus range.
I think the look of this dildo is more aimed at men than women. It has a black rubber look and feel but is still 100% safe silicone which might be off putting for some. Overall we liked the toy. It is solid enough to provide stimulation and has a good base to grip. While you could use it anally it wouldn’t be ideal as the base is not flared and there is a risk part of the dildo might go in too far. This is a minor worry and shouldn’t be a problem as long as you use some common sense.
