I purchased the Scout for my girlfriend as her first regular dildo. Previously, all she had was various vibrators and a couple of glass dildos. I wanted to get her something with that soft silicone feel as well as that slight "give" to it, that a glass dildo doesn't have. Firstly the Scout is a black, 100% silicone dildo from Tantus as part of their new Cowboy line. It has an insertable length of approximately 5 1/2" and 1 5/8" diameter. It has about the same endowment as an average man, making if perfect if you aren't looking for something outlandishly large. Due to it being 100% silicone it can be completely sterilized, making it safe for sharing with others by boiling it, using a 10% bleach solution, or placing it on the top rack of the dishwasher. Unfortunately, however, silicone toys should not be mixed with silicone lube, so make sure to stick to water based lubes. The Scout is slightly flexible but definitely errs more on the firmer side. which my girlfriend enjoyed and said helped keep the realism of the toy.
