I am always on the lookout for new dildos. While I tend to enjoy a specific type (the harder, smoother ones) I wanted to take a look at something new for my toy stash. The Blush UR3 dong by Doc Johnson seemed like a good choice. It's size (a nice 8") and girth (1.5") seemed perfect for my intended use, as a vaginal penetrator, and the realistic veins and cut head are a nice touch. The color is pretty and what I'd call unintimidating, good for people who don't exactly want a flesh colored dildo, but not too girly for a man to be around.

While I've used silicone dildos before, I was interested in seeing what a realistic skinned dildo felt like. This one, made of UR3 looks cute and is definitely soft, reminiscent of skin. An excellent feeling for when you're missing the real thing. Maybe it's a bit *too* soft, though. The dildo itself is quite floppy, making vigorous penetration difficult. It feels good, but it's not really hard enough to even approximate a "really hard" penis... perhaps a bit of a stiffened core would be a good idea?

The UR3 also has a bit of a scent to it, not too strong or unpleasant, just a chemical odor you'll notice. Certainly not like some jelly materials. If you're looking for odor-free, stick to hard plastics and glass. UR3 should not be used with silicone lubricants, and can become tacky feeling if not dried carefully and stored correctly. I'd definitely recommend using some lube, however, a water-based one for enjoying this dildo. It's packaged in that hard plastic "blister" packaging... but resealable, not the kind you have to cut open to open up. You could use it for storage... but I prefer resealable baggies.

It cleans up easily with some toy cleaner or antibacterial hand soap, just rinse well. I would recommend using a condom on the toy if you're sharing... it can't be boiled. Additionally, while it's quite long and good for thrusting, I wouldn't use this toy for anal sex - there is no base or flaring, so accidental loss can be a possibility.

Overall, a good toy for my toy box, versatile - if not perfect.

The first time I used this dildo, I noticed you can't truly penetrate yourself with the 8". You need to hold it further up on the shaft in order to get a thrusting motion, leaving you with maybe 5" of penetrative ability. The softness overall of this dildo makes it not a full length penetrator. Some people have stated that the blush coloration has come off of their toys - I haven't noticed that yet, I've only used it with a slight bit of water soluble lube. We'll have to see about it's lasting power.

It's still a great dildo for throwing in the mix. I haven't had any issues with color loss, and while it's not my favorite for anal use, it's still great for vaginal penetration. Also good for double penetration usage! Worth giving a try!
