Pros
Silicone, spot for a bullet, ergonomic.
Cons
thin, oddly shaped, hard to decide how to best use.
The Jollies Thrust comes in a simple, understated plastic package that is completely recyclable and looks like it could have contained a piece of common electronic equipment or something else completely benign. The Thrust is anything but benign, however – in addition to being a high quality silicone strap on dildo from a reputable and innovative toy manufacturer, it is uniquely shaped in an ergonomic design that might have you scratching your head, wondering how on earth it's supposed to work.
The Thrust is made of 100% medical grade silicone (as are all Jollies toys) and as such it is non porous and can be effectively disinfected (by boiling, dishwasher-ing in the top rack, or dunking in a 10% bleach solution) for sharing between partners or between orifices. The silicone is medium in firmness, yet very solid to the touch, and very flexible and floppy. The result of this is that the toy is flexible enough to adapt to the inner contours of your body, yet firm enough to apply directed pressure to a G or P spot during thrusting. The base is flared, so anal penetration is a-ok, and furthermore the base is harness compatible, so the world is your proverbial oyster with this toy.
The Thrust looks a little bit like an elephant, a French accent on the letter 'C', or perhaps some sort of mythical creature. From the flared base, the shaft of the dildo rises up in a curve, then kinks straight and widen somewhat for the final inch and a half, or so. Also welling up from the flared base is a small nubbin that houses a bullet sized hole – perfect for holding a bullet, of course, and also for providing a slip-proof handle for ease in controlling the dildo as you thrust it into yourself or a partner. The girth of this toy is actually quite slight – the insertable portion of the dildo is about an inch in diameter.
When used anally, the Thrust should be inserted so that the bullet hole and nubbin massage the taint/vaginal entry. In this orientation, the Thrust's curve mimics the natural curve of the anal canal, working with the body's lines. Insertion is easy to take, and once the toy is inserted to the kink, it really just slips into place comfortably. From there on, it feels very nice to thrust the toy in and almost out again, and the kink in the dildo allows it to act as almost a hook – meaning it really wants to stay in the anus, and seems to work best when its is only pulled out to the kink and thrust back in again. Using the Thrust anally oriented in the other direction may work better for some, but may also poke a bit uncomfortably for others.
The design of the toy suggests a certain orientation when used vaginally – so that the bullet sized hole sits over the clit. When used this way, something very interesting happens. The toy slips in easily for the first little bit, but as soon as the bend on the toy in reached, the curve starts to straighten out to accommodate more of the toy's length, causing the kinked part of the toy to orient so that the tip pressed into the back wall of the vagina, and the “knuckle” rises up to massage the g-spot (if you're lucky) and the area behind it on the front vaginal wall. This doesn't work all that well if the toy is thrust in too deeply – the points that apply pressure cease to hit hot spots. Conversely, if the toy is inserted the other way – so that the bullet hole and nubbin now massage the taint, the tip of the toy will angle up upon insertion, stimulating the region behind the cervix (again, if you're lucky), with the curved portion of the toy pressing firmly up against the G- spot, and the knuckle rubbing against the back wall of the vagina. The preferred orientation will really depend on an individual's anatomy.

This dildo is truly a unique experience every time I use it. Since first penning my review, my husband and I have used it for free hand pegging, and have found it to be exceptional for the job. It's shape curves the way the rectum tends to curve, so it really slips in in a non-invasive way. As an added bonus, its flex allows it to massage the p-spot when the anal sphincter contracts (or so my husband says), or when the toy is pressed further inwards (in a manner that I believe is very similar to what I described for G-spot massage in my review). It does fail as a strap on toy, however, as it's just too inherently floppy and unstable to couple well with strap on wear - in my opinion, anyways. Besides that, it's really fun to use free hand anyways.

Thank you for viewing Jollies thrust – dildo review page!
Good review, as always.
Good review!
Great review! Thanks!!
@Sammi, @Mamastoys and @Saurou Thanks! I like seeing toys that break out of the ho-hum standard mold.
@ThePornLibrarian I think you're onto something - put a heavy piece of lead (or something) in the bullet hole, and you've got one mighty fine and unique paperweight...
@Toying Couple It is an interesting toy - I think it will excel as a pegging toy for my partner, probably free hand not strap on, however - I will do a follow up review when I am able to comment on that.
