The Self Pleasurizer came in a cardboard box, which included a package of Wet lubricant and then a plastic bag with the toy inside. There are no printed directions, warnings, cleaning instructions except the few words printed on the box to say that you should be using water based lube and a “diagram” showing which end is for vaginal penetration and which end is for anal penetration. Also there are several places where the box implies that the toy could be worn under your panties while going about your daily life. I’m not sure I would like a 1”x 3” hunk of rubber sitting in my underwear while I’m at work, but that’s just me.

I did wear it around the house and even doing my laundry in the basement of my building and it felt kinky, naughty, but that’s about it. The anal end kept wanting to pop out and it does have an overall weight to it which made me feel like I had to keep checking and adjusting it. I feel like it would be better if a couple inches could be added to the vaginal end and one to the anal end, or maybe a certain slimming of the middle to reduce weight and increase wear-ability.

It is slightly sticky and has a very strong smell of rubber when first opened. I would recommend giving it a good wash before hand (its jelly so toy cleaner and warm water). There are two small bubbles about a centimetre into the toy near the middle, which worry me a little after a while of wear and tear. The seams are very visible and easy to feel all along the toy with your hand and upon insertion however the material is quite soft and squishy so I wouldn’t worry about injuring yourself from them.

Let me be clear though, it’s not an awful toy for the price. If you don’t have a lot of experience with anal, like myself, but are interested in double penetration this would be an unintimidating way to try without breaking the bank. Be aware though that this cannot be shared without a condom, as jelly is porous. Be safe!

All in all I wouldn’t recommend this toy to anyone but it will certainly stay in my drawer for another day when I feel like giving it a second chance.

A few things have changed since I wrote my review of the Pleasurizer. The main one is that I have thrown it away. I have only done so after noticing that the anal end is showing signs of discolouration after only four uses. The jelly material is porous and can only be cleaned with gentle toy cleaner and luke warm (not hot!) water, as I have done, but the discolouration makes me nervous about what kind of bacteria could be developing. And really... it just looks unappealing.

Additionally, I have noticed some light tearing in the seams that protrudes out all along the toy, and the strong rubber smell is still very overpowering.

I'm just not comfortable using it anymore. The negatives just kept adding up.
