Not the Nob for Me
I'd like to recommend this wooden sex toy to you, but I can't recommend it to me. My obtrusive pubic bone and the Fling collided, while the fingerholds simply weren't positioned in a way that worked for me. Although wood is light and rigid, I guess I prefer something smaller for pinpoint stimulation and either heavier or softer. On the other hand, it's high quality and attractive toy that offers an experience like no other. My faults and peculiarities won't necessarily stop you from loving it.

Pros
Pretty, rigid, simple but unique packaging, somewhat ergonomic, G-spot curve, light weight
Cons
Not ergonomic for me, oblong and bulbous
I was so excited to finally order this wooden dildo, but I think that my expectations might have exceeded my actual experience. There's no doubt that this is an attractive dildo, and I chose the Fling precisely because it is a G-spotter. The shaft curves toward the G-spot and becomes a prominent bulb, which would mean success for most women. Plus, the base extends into a loop that is contoured to fit two fingers, which makes it seem plenty ergonomic.
In use, the bulbous end felt a little too large for me given the material. There was little room for it and my pubic bone, and my cervix was just too sensitive for the Fling. I would prefer a 1.75" diameter in a softer material like silicone, but this one might be better for size queens, because rigid materials feel larger than they are.
Furthermore, the finger holes just don't work for me. I must not hold toys at the same angle. I can't say whether it's because I'm left handed or have short arms, but I wound up wrapping my hand around the base, instead. It still works, but it definitely leaves me feeling like this NobEssence toy is not ergonomic for me. A slightly curvier shaft would have pulled it back toward my upper body, which I think would have worked better.
I knew that wood would be rigid and smooth because of the sealant but also light. I was curious just how light it would feel during use. The impression I got was that the rigid material was great at holding me open but the lightness may it hard to feel anything inserted. I felt very hollow, which was a new experience. Interesting but not pleasurable.
Like all rigid toys, it feels a little bigger than it is, and at the widest point of the shaft, it's more oblong than round, which I also think worked against me. It's almost 2" wide, but the Fling has much less depth at that point. I've had some bad luck with bulbous sex toys in the past, and think I ought to stick to smaller, curved shafts. Bummer. On the other hand, the length of the fling works pretty wheel. It's 7.5", but the finger holes mean more like 5" is insertable.
I ordered my fling in the burgundy, because it looks such a gorgeous shade of purple in the product images. There's definitely some natural variation, though. Mine is a more orangery-red. It's not unattractive, but it's also not quite was I was hoping for. The wood does give it a very interesting look. No two Flings will appear exactly the same, and you can see some natural dents and the grain of the wood. NobEssence does cover this all in a non-permeable seal, so you can feel comfortable using this without any slivers or other unfortunate side effects. The coating is smooth, and easy to clean. I don't have to worry about breaking my sink or tiles if I drop this.
NobEssence packages their wooden dildos nicely. The long box fits into a slightly-less long slip cover, through which there is a plastic window. You pull the cover off from the top, the long way (unlike a Lelo box). This is unique upon first opening it, but I quickly realized how bulky it is, so I pilfered a bag from another toy (NobEssence provides none) and recycled the box.
