No frills G-spotting
Dr. Laura Berman's Ruby is a clear glass dildo with a wavy shaft and a G-spot tip. While it does not have much texture, the G-spot tip definitely hits the spot. This dildo would be ideal for someone who likes harder materials for G-spot play. It's also inexpensive!

Pros
Inexpensive, G-spot tip, made of glass.
Cons
No texture, no way of knowing which way the tip is facing when inside, no included storage pouch.
While I do own quite a few glass dildos at this juncture, I don't have any that look quite like this. The Icicles tapered teaser comes close, but Dr. Laura Berman has made one critical change: a G-spotting tip.
Other than that, this is a very basic dildo. It's clear, giving it an elegant but simple appearance. It has a wavy shaft. The ball-shaped handle is just barely wider than the waves. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with any sort of storage pouch. On the other hand, I was impressed that the packaging included information about the location of the G spot (a third of the way into the vagina, y'all).
And it does indeed work. I've only recently discovered my G spot and how to get it going, and this dildo definitely hits the spot. No doubt about that. With a little water-based lube, thrusting was easy and the tip went to work on my G-spot nicely. The ball-shaped handle end was easy to grip, too. Unfortunately, I couldn't personally feel the slightly undulating shape of the shaft. It's just too subtle for my pussy.
The biggest roadblock I ran into while using this dildo was not knowing which way the G-spot tip was pointing while it was inside me. This is a common problem with G-spot toys, but still worth pointing out. Since the shaft is exactly the same all the way down, there's really no way of knowing unless you pull it out. This is also due to the fact that the G-spot tip isn't large or oddly-shaped.
I'm really happy to see more inexpensive glass dildos coming out, and this one is no exception. If you want to just focus on hitting your G-spot, and if you prefer a hard material for G-spot play, this would be a good choice.

Lol, isnt it annoying having to pull it out many times to check the angle of the toy is right?
-
did you try the other end of the Ruby? looks like it could be used with either end...?!
-
Curlyque: I didn't try it, but I would venture to guess that it would just feel like a regular non-textured glass shaft. To me, that isn't very much fun, as I prefer bumps or swirls.

Thanks for the review. I think storage bags should be required for all glass toys. AND any toy with a gpsot stimulator needs some sort of indication which way it's facing.
-
You could put a piece of colored tape on one side of the handle so you can tell which way it's facing without pulling it out.
-
Wow, the price on this is amazing, and the shape looks delicious! I always enjoy your reviews!

This looks like it might be doable even on a budget. I like g spot stimulation and perhaps it's time to get past my glass phobia!

The colored tape idea is pretty cool, but still! Wouldn't it be nice if the manufacturer thought of putting a colored dot or something?
