To get started, I charged my new friend (he arrived with a charge, so it only took a few minutes before he was fully charged) and cleaned him thoroughly. I use Eden-brand toy cleaner and rinse with lukewarm water, but you can also use soap and water, and if you feel the need to sterilise him, you can clean him with rubbing alcohol or a 10% bleach solution (just make sure to rinse him thoroughly after doing so). Silicone is non-porous, so he won't harbour any bacteria, body fluids, or other nasties. He's fully waterproof, so you can feel safe running him under the tap or submerging him. However, since he has mechanical parts, you CANNOT boil him or put him through the dishwasher. Doing so would destroy his mechanics and turn him into an expensive, stiff dildo. You could store him in the box he came in if you'd like, but I find that takes up way too much space, so I just keep him in a large ziplock baggie, along with his remote and charging cable. To be safe, it's advisable to avoid letting him come into contact with other toys (silicone or otherwise), since the various materials can sometimes interact strangely with one another. Also, avoid using silicone-based lube with silicone toys (stick to water-based).
I threw the sex towel down on my bed, pulled out my lube, my Eros rabbit (as a warm-up and clit toy), and my new Sensualist X (along with its remote). I took off my pants and settled back on a pile of pillows with my phone in one hand and my little Eros in the other. I read a steamy short story on my phone while I worked the Eros around my clit, and then inserted it once I was nice and wet. I threw my phone aside and just enjoyed the Eros rumbling my clit and G-spot for a few minutes, then decided I was good and ready for my new, larger toy.
Even though I was quite wet, the Sensualist is bigger than anything I've had in my pussy recently, so I slathered him in a generous amount of water-based lube (as this toy is silicone, it's best to stick to water-based lubricants; DO NOT use silicone-based lubes with silicone toys, as it could degrade the material). I had to apply slightly more pressure to insert him than with my smaller toys, but he slid into my vagina easily and comfortably. I definitely felt more "filled" than with my smaller toys, but I didn't feel over-stretched or at all uncomfortable. I thrust the Sensualist manually in and out of my vagina a few times, just to get used to his size and texture, and I found that he actually works quite well as a traditional dildo before you even power him on. That delicious curve in the head felt marvelous as it was dragged across my G-spot. I noticed that I wasn't able to go balls-deep with him; I kind of bottomed out with maybe a 1/2 inch of insertable length still outside my vagina, but since this toy doesn't have any sort of clit attachment, this didn't affect my enjoyment of the toy at all (and I'd suspected that I probably wouldn't be able to take his entire length; I think I have kind of a short vagina). Also, because of the way the head curves upwards, I never hit my cervix uncomfortably in spite of the length of the toy, even with some pretty vigorous pushing and thrusting, so that's another point in favour of this toy's overall design (I've had issues with my cervix getting bumped and bruised in the past with sexual partners).
Once I felt comfortable with the toy moving inside me, I held down the power button, and the red light at the base came on. I'll be honest, I kind of forgot all about the remote during my first use, so I operated the toy only using the buttons on the base. I turned the toy onto its first mode of function (the low-intensity steady vibration and rotation) and just sat back and enjoyed the sensations for a bit. It felt great, but I could tell right away that it wasn't quite hitting the right spots, so after a few moments of getting used to the new sensation of this big cock waggling around in my pussy, I started to fidget with the angle and position of the toy. If I pulled the toy about halfway out (I'm finding that I seem to have a somewhat shallow G-spot) and angled it upwards, it massaged my G-spot in the most wonderful way. This is the first toy that's really, truly felt like it was "massaging" my insides, and it felt amazing. I tried turning up the intensity (which only increased my pleasure) and started experimenting with some of the patterns. The patterns are kind of fun, but I honestly found myself enjoying the first three steady settings the best. I set it to the medium-intensity steady setting and reached for my Eros. Once I had the Sensualist dancing inside me and the Eros rumbling my clit, it only took a few seconds before I had a very intense orgasm. It actually sort of took me by surprise; I'd been intending to hit the boost button at least once, thinking I'd need it to send me over the edge, but I wasn't even on the highest intensity settings on either the Sensualist or the Eros! The combined sensations of the Sensualist vibrating and massaging my G-spot along with the Eros rumbling on my clit was incredibly intense. It was awesome, but definitely not a combination to use for edging, or if you want a longer session, haha!
All in all, I was a great first experience with my new toy and left me excited to use him more.
I completely get what you mean! I store mine in sandwich baggies since most of mine are small. I actually have a few stores in their original boxes if they're good for storage.
So yeah, if you decide to go for it, my best advice is just to not rush it and do a little warm-up with a smaller toy first. I've found that I really don't need MUCH warm-up; a few thrusts with the Eros (which has a 4 1/2" circ.) seems to be all I need, but for some reason, those few little thrusts make a big difference when it comes time to insert the Sensualist. (Of course, everyone is different, and you may find that you don't need that warm-up after all.)
