My Perfect Toy
The Amethyst dildo is one of my go-to g-spot toys. It's amazing easy to insert, and it has the perfect curve that will "conquer" any stubborn g-spot. While the bag should be replaced to properly care for the toy, I really love the Amethyst.

Pros
High-quality dildo, AMAZING for g-spot stimulation, Easy to insert, Perfect diameter for me
Cons
Low-quality storage bag
The Amethyst is a Pyrex Glass dildo made by SSA Glass. It does come with a little storage pouch to keep the toy from getting scratched. The toy is about seven inches long and at the widest point, it has a diameter of an inch. One end of the toy has three bulbs while the other end has a g-spot/p-spot curve, and the Amethyst has a "flare" in the middle to keep the toy from just melding together. It's a small glass toy, very durable, easy to store, and easy to travel with.
To be honest, this is going to basically be a copy of a review I've written of the Bent Graduate. Not literally, of course, but when it comes to the information included, it's the exact same toy that I now happen to own two copies of.
If you're curious, I wanted to own this toy to put to "death" the confusion about what the difference was between the Bent Graduate and the Amethyst. The Bent Graduate is made by Don Wands while the Amethyst is made by SSA Glass. From what we've deduced, it looks like the same manufacturer must make both glass dildos but then sell them off to other companies to brand as their own and resell. Why? Because both of these dildos are identical - completely identical - except in color. EF does list the Amethyst to be a half-inch longer, but it's not. They are the exact same dildo. The only difference is the storage pouch.
The storage pouch on the Amethyst is a really cheap, one-piece of velvet. It is a drawstring pouch, but the pouch won't actually stay "drawn" unless you tie a knot in the string. If you turn it upside down, the toy just slides out. However, the Bent Graduate does come with a high-quality, very-padded pouch that puts the SSA Glass pouch to shame. The Bent Graduate is a light pink in color while the Amethyst is light purple. When it comes to quality, I haven't noticed a difference. The rest of the review would apply to both toys since they are the same.
As a sidenote, it appears that the Bent Graduate "Real-size" widget should be believed over the Amethyst's real-size widget. It seems to be more accurate. I can't 100% tell you it will look like the widget since these are hand-made toys. That means there will be a bit of difference in measurements, but the Bent Graduate real-size is MUCH closer than the Amethyst one. The Amethyst is really long compared to the toy I received.
When it comes to how it works, the Amethyst is just as amazing as the Bent Graduate. This is one of the few toys that I can honestly rely on to always have good g-spot pleasure. The curve is just amazing, and the bulbs on the opposite end provide an amazing handle, so your hands don't slip and slide all over the toy. I much prefer using the curved end for insertion. It does hit my g-spot, and the light weight of the toy allows for easy thrusting. You can also use the g-spot end to rock up against. I don't own another toy in my collection that works as amazingly as this one for my g-spot. Not a single one.
Along with that, the glass is amazingly slick, so I don't have to worry about too much lubricant (if any). Most of the time, I can easily insert this toy without any sort of lubricant at all. The glass cleans up really nicely, so as long as you clean it right after use, this can be used while on your period as well. By using antibacterial soap and water, you can regularly clean it, and using bleach will allow you to sterilize it. It's compatible with any type of lubricant.
The bulbed end works okay. I can't say I was amazing enamored with it, but why use the bulbed when I found a much better pal in the other end? The bulbed end does work relatively well if you like the feel of bulbs. I'd say this is probably an anal-safe toy due to the flare in the middle as well as the extreme curve on the opposite end. As always, though, be careful until you're sure.
When it comes to other things, you can also use water to warm or cool the temperature of this dildo. This makes for great temperature play. It holds the temperature nicely, and the best part? The glass is usually relatively warm temperature, so unlike stainless steel, it's never "frigid" when you go to want to use it. For storing it, I do recommend using a padded bag and replacing the bag that came with the Amethyst.

Experience
Do I like it? God, I LOVE it. I could probably live without any other g-spot dildo out there as long as I had this (or my Bent Graduate.) They work amazingly for g-spot stimulation are easy to insert for people like me who dislike large-diameter toys, and they are really easy to clean. Pick your color choice, but then pick up the Bent Graduate or the Amethyst. Unless you have a strong preference for the color, I'd recommend the Bent Graduate more since you pay just an extra $5 and get a much better pouch.
Follow-up commentary

Still love it! So, so, so much love! The design of the Amethyst (and Bent Graduate as the design is similar) are one of the most reliable g-spot toys that I own! This one has held up fantastically, and it still looks just as new as when I bought it. I look forward to having this one for a long, long time!

Very in depth review... I've been slightly afraid of trying out a glass dildo but this made me start to rethink my fears. Thanks for the stellar review!
